OK thanks Cody227,Wild Cherry and Cain for the good responses. I dont know
how people at my local carpet track were breaking those rear hingepin holders.
Must have hit something pretty hard then...I guess I have little to worry
about on this truck then. I doubt I'll ever break anything then because
I usually dont hit things. Stay in line and just land the jumps...

I cant wait to get my 550 copperhead system for this truck..
I'm picking up the pro-gauge too to do even more tuning...

Just a guess here, but does your track have barriers that are pretty solid with no give? I have seen on another vehicle (2wd sct) people breaking the lower mount plate that has the integrated rear hingepin holder when they slide into a wall. Maybe that is what they are doing at speed, etc.

Wondering where and how people are mounting their I-Laps transponders (has to have line of sight) on this truck? I have no problem with my 2wd, now that I have a 4wd I need a good place to put it that I can switch back and forth easily between heats.

Yes, same size as a 2s hard case, thats why I got it. The batt strap works fine after you get it between the balance wires to the rear. I put in a 2s 5600mah 65c and it was boring in comparison. The 3800 1410 is a good track motor on 2s and great for bashing on 3s.

crash it head on with a prolite and show the shattering of the vehicle in slow motion ... As Dave Chapelle says, almost everything looks better in slow motion

Bashers love stuff like that.

i read through the first post build guide and I need some more info on the current mods.

c hub mod
8mm mod

And can I get a pic of a clean wire job with saddle packs?

Anything else that you guys can throw at me to help get this new ft kit ahead of the tekno's at my track would be great

Sorry to say but the only way to get ahead of tekno's is if they break
Don't want to sound negative but I have had this truck for a year and put almost every mod on this truck and its just a inferior truck. When a guy went to tekno from the losi first weekend he had it he won and he was never the fastest guy not even top 4 at my track I'm lucky to be top 8 out of 20 in my sc10.
Hate to give up but just think I'm fighting the truck now to be faster or to keep up.

if anyone could post some help to my questions that would be great, also what does the setup mean by 3 pad vts, add one more pad and an extra disc?

other things are the 8mm mod and chub mod and anything else the ft v2 needs to get his exact setup on it. I run gold barcodes at my home track so that would be a good starting point for me.

Yes that's the one. The eco batteries are no joke for a really good price.

The vts is a 3 pad design.

Blah Blah Blah! Go buy one then! Its not the truck, it's you guaranteed. The truck is a proven winner for people that can really drive. One race doesn't really prove anything, maybe he just had a good night. Tekno makes a good product, I've been running the tekno v3 rc8be chassis and before that I had the version 2 but you know what my buddy is just as fast with the standard stamped rc8e chassis. It really depends on your ability to become one with the vehicle your driving and knowing it's limits and your limits and fine tuning those characteristics to match the feel you want. The tekno truck looks like a nice truck but I was practicing last weekend with one on the track and I passed him a few times, it didn't look like wow what is that? I'm only on my third battery in my new FT truck. I had the original kit version since day one. He's had the tekno for a few weeks. Tune that thing, stick with it. Save $400
