Thanks for the help.
This is a vid of my sc10 4x4 (original kit version) with MMP and 1410 3800kv on 3s 3400mah aminhobbies ecopower lipo ($35) with jconcepts choppers on hazard wheels, 14t pinion stock spur, exotek front slipper locker. Its a pretty good ripper. Temps running 120f motor and esc with 55deg ambient running jconcepts vented overtray.

Slipper question?

How do you know if slipper is coupled or decoupled? Helping a friend with his. I think he has the exotek plate on the back and the gator discs on the front. Thanks. I was looking at the team set ups and they all say decoupled. Just want to be sure. Thanks.

Bashing you probably want lots of torque, 540 sized 4 poles which are common I have been hearing good things about the hobbywing version. The Tekin Pro4s are great too.

550s can do the trick too, you probably will want some with higher torque rotors like what the Reedy has or even a Hit torque Novak ballistic (14mm rotor version I believe) that has killer torque. You woudl want the 4.5 version of this.

As a side benefit, the 550s can be had pretty cheap on the used market.

Do anyone know where I could get screws to secure my motor to the motor plate? I have the sc10 4x4 with a CC 1410, but the motor didn't come with screws.

Thanks for the info !

Thinking of these two combos for sc10 basher which would be better.
Xerun SCT Pro 3400KV or MMP with 1410 3800kv ?
For bashing and longer run time on 2s.
Thanks

on Kv alone I would lean towards the 3800 motor. reason being is that getting big pinions to fit the SC10 4x4's mounting plate can be a pain as now the pinion doesn't fit through the opening from what I recall.

The Xerun SCT Pro can be had with a 4000KV motor too for the same price.
I don't know about the bigger pinion not fitting, I was thinking they would. But I really don't know.
I'm afraid the 4000KV would cut down on run time, would that be correct ??

Just got home from testing V3 pistons! Very promising
few more minor adjustments and they will be ready. In a nutshell i have dropped the holes down to 2x1.6C and 2x1.7 rebound. Initial testing has been great but they tend to overpack off of hard flat landings but otherwise they are very stable on landings and jump very well I have laready chanegd the rest of my piston line to two hole and these will be the same, for some reason 2 large holes work better and are more versatile. they are easy to adjust to smooth and rough tracks.

Honestly I don't think the savings you would see would be drastic versus the performance you are wanting. I would personally just go with a 4000kv motor.

Good stuff! The V2s were excellent, really enjoyed them on a variety of conditions.

I thought Tekin doesn't recommend 3s on the 4000kv pro4, on 2s the 4000 has a little more snap but the 1410 on 3s if perfect for ripping! Also with 14t pinion it rails with good temps. The trucks boring as a basher on 2s Imo! If you go 2s for bashing then I'd go 4600kv
