Thanks for the quick replies. With the recent talk going on in this thread, I had to clarify.

So how many internal shock limiters would be good to start?
I think you'll like BK's setup over on RC10 as a good baseline. If you can get in touch with Wilder from RCE, his truck looks amazing.

So I got the v1 center diff from a awesome member here for the price of shipping, (thank you) and placed my order for the v.2 upgrade kit from rc shox hopefully Mantis can get it out to me tomorrow and I can have it by thursday and install it for the friday night races next week. I can't wait to see what everyone who has the center diff has been saying first hand, controllable power on demand, and easier to correct in the air. I want to change my rear springs to the front blue springs as I'm told they work better with the exotech chassis, but I saw someone post to use the limiters and adjust ride height? If I use the c clip thingy I hear they pop off so can I use fuel line? If so how much do I cut? I just got a new digital caliper last night and am dying to use it lol.
P.S. if someone made a quick vid on how to change the front springs to the rear. You'd kinda of be my personal savior lol

Aside from the (expensive center diff) what are you guys going to combat overheated slippers?

I have the FT with the VTS, and a high torque inner pad. 4-5 minutes into a race the slipper over heats, and starts to give up when needed. I'm going to try a locking hub at some point, I just haven't gotten around to it.

The spring cup slides over the c-clips. This raises the cup upwards. So starting from the bottom of the whole shock assembly it goes like this:

- Shock Spring put on first
- then C clips on top of the eyelet
- Then bottom shock cup OVER the c clips
- Then any C clips (you may put these on with the other c clips, just make sure they are separate) that you are using to limit up travel.

You are running it way too loose.

There's no noticeable slippage during the beginning of the race. I'll try tightening it (more) next time I run, and see where that gets me.

IM running mine pretty locked down. Got a bit of glazing but nothing to complain about. I pretty much take it all he way down and then back off about a half turn. Seems to work for me. Good luck!

tighten slipper
1/4 turn at a time
do not lock it up
replace slipper lock nut for new one cus it may be the real issue

I personally can run with out the spur gear cover on .
Helps the slipper & motor run a lot cooler ...
cooler motor & slipper improves performance

I'm proud of where I placed for having been racing 9 months. =) Especially against a different "category" of Northwest Racer. ( Not to be confused with 'caliber' )
