I do.

First, I don't see any advantage in removing it. Weight is practically nill.

Second, even though the exotek may provide enough stiffness, I like the bracing up top as well. I think it can only help provide even more.

Third, it makes a nice place to zip-tie my wires to!

I took mine off, due to running on a med to high bite clay track it made the truck too stiff and it bounced around a lot. Also helped keep the rear end planted when I took it off.

Thanks guys for the comments! Keep'em coming!

I've got one more day of off road then its on to indoor. So I was curious about the pro's and con's of keeping the brace.

I run the exotek chassis and do not run a brace. I have debated trying it, but like how the truck handles right now, once I fix the power issue I should be set.

I was curious has a setup they can post or a setup sheet I can download?
I will be running Exotek chassis in saddle pack config. So I know shock weights and springs will be different, track condition is Med to Low bite outdoor will likely run +3mm wheels.
Thanks if anybody could help me out or add anything else I may need.
I would recommend that you pick up the M2C rear toe block. Using the rear toe block setting of 3.5 degrees really helps the truck in the low bite outdoor conditions I run on here.

The RC Shox Center diff also shines in low bite conditions from what I have experienced. Worth the money in my opinion but if you do want to stick with the slipper setup, I would suggest going with whatever is recommended for diff oils stock, I think thats 20 or 30K front, 5K or 7K rear. if you do the center diff, for oils I am really liking 7K front and 5K rear pretty much everywhere. Some even run a square setup of 5K all around.

RC Shox dual stage pistons also work REALLY well on bumpy stuff.

I do have a setup from the conditions I ran on that I liked I can provide you with if that would help. I posted it on here but if you can't find it let me know.

Anyone try this on say carpet and can report back the differences they felt as well as how they liked it?

Me too.

The brace helps primarily with compression and belt slack, so it's not really going to over stiffen anything with the Exotek.

I ran both. In comparison, the trackstar orings versus the same setup of the stockers is much smoother. I believe that is why some go with a single stock o ring. From what I could tell, part of the reason is that when you tighten down the cap (I saw this on a factory team version) the stock o-rings try to spread out and grab on the shaft more. This did not happen with the Trackstar o-rings.

i personally ordered a couple of sets right away and when I did the rebuild for oil change went with them and haven't gone back.

I've ran the original Trackstar set I bought in july 2011 to today. Smooth as butter and have never leaked once.

Single Ae ring install hard to beat , least amount of stick ....

I use two rings but trim the shock cartridge .030 before installing.

Or you could spend 4 dollars and buy long lasting slicky o-rings.
