The truck feels better with the saddle packs than using a stick with the exotek from what I played around with as far as the stock location.

I am actually curious now how it feels to those running dual shorty sized lipos, 540 4 pole though still on vehicle.

Is it normal to run more toe out on the front then you do on the rear?

wow, haven't seen anyone use maifield's 60gm of weight up front with the exotek. Just out of curiosity, what was you truck doing without the weight up front and just the exotek in? intuitively, I would think that you wanted to increase steering with the weight up front, but I believe in this truck, it's actually the opposite. thanks

Once my exotek went on it was great. Flys so predictable now an planted! I removed all extra weight and I am heavier than the losi guys with the lightened chassis upgrades. I would not add anything as it is a beast now with just the exo.
Seriously contemplating sticking with the stick packs now as it is driving great. If I go saddles it will be even more unbalanced requiring more weight added to balance.

So I'm sticking with sticks unless somebody can convince me otherwise. Lol

I am curious, where would you see the imbalance in saddles (inline) versus the stick pack down one side?

From what I can tell, the inline saddles move the weight of batteries a bit more forward and its now centered versus hanging to the side.

Front is zero toe to to out.
Rear is stock 3° toe in to 3.5° toe in with aftermarket parts.

Front, most people run 1° of toe out.
Toe out will drive into the turn better, zero toe will drive out of the turn better.

Looks like the suspension in that pic was not compressed to normal ride height because my guess is that is 3° toe out and would turn in like a beast but would understeer you into the wall exiting the turn

I think what he's saying is that if it feels balanced with the stick pack and heavy power setup on the left going to saddle centering the weight he would be back to adding weight again... but this time on the right side.

The other problem he had during this same event was suddenly the truck started clicking.
- Clicking started half way through his first run (guessing around the time the VTS melted from stated reason above)
- It's rhythmic to the rotation of the system.
- Truck is put together correctly. I just went through it myself.
+ There's no drag on the system, it's one of the smoothest truck's i've seen roll. Mine doesn't roll this nice.

Anyone help me? Nothing's got any scratch marks, it is not the clicker, it is locked and I know the sound it makes, and it doesn't sound like metal on metal.

Yes, going saddle will be puttin more battery on the left side, that is where my 550 is.

If I add saddles the left will have motor + battery. Rather than just motor and Esc. So I will need to stick weight to the right side which will be the lighter side.

I notice that everyone who runs saddles has at least 1 oz of not more placed behind the right saddle or under the slipper.

I want no more weight

Ryan , remove all the ballast weight with saddles & the truck will tilt a bit over to the left side going over the jump.

okay that makes sense now. was looking at it from my 540 4 pole perspective. Though, the fact that you got the weight more centered on the chassis is still a big plus from what I saw. If you ever get a chance to wheel one with it on, let us know what you think.

I really should use these scales I got sitting here lol.

If I had the plastic center chassis on still...
I would go saddles for sure!

Might even do it with the 4 pole if I had one.
Loving the reedy at the moment. Never tried the tekin tho..

I have 4 scales and I found that even with a 4 pole 540, I needed weight opposite the motor to balance L/R. The stick lipo is just not heavy enough.
