Well lucky for me I put in a brand new rx8 and mounted it on the left side of the chassis without hacking the fan. Back up n running. I'm ready to continue testing and working out the bugs.

Marcus I never tried the v2's so that might be the problem. I dont know if they wore out or what but it's night n day difference going back to stock. The truck has a tighter feel now and that's what I need.

For the record I put 20 grams of that brass weight that Maifield uses in the front and that seemed about right. I may add another 10g.

For the record I run the exotek chassis.

I'm just happy that this thing is running again. Gotta love my lhs for hooking me up and keeping me running. (prob cause i spend so much $$ there lol)

Thats exactly what the V2 design changed, tighter tolerance on the shock shaft and piston to bore clearance. Those changes "tighten" the truck, i promise V2's will out perform your stock especially on the kind of tracks you run on!

Depends on your track size and your throttle finger control. They are a ton of motor for these trucks. If you are on a large track or just like stupid speed then they work great. Seems like many are going for the 4000 and gearing to get the speed they need. I really love mine but can say for the tracks I race on it is rarely gets used to its potential.

One word of caution ... the slot below the wire tabs lets a lot of dirt in. I have been using silicone caulking to cover the hole and it has been working great for me.

the 4600 has a different wind than the 4000 and is actually smoother supposedly.

I run the 4600 and gear at 14/60 with current limiter at around 45-50 percent because I run outdoor.

I also have it set for about 80-85 percent power. On full juice the bish will fly.

I liked the v1's I got in December, but the v2's that you swapped me out for did feel better and must have been different because my oil weight went down 5.

Yeah, not as much of a benefit indoor smooth, but you do get a little more pop off lips of jumps that are immediately after a tight turn.
Beat up outdoor, absolutely better than single stage from my experience.

This looks like an interview, but it does show Maifields A1 win with the SC10 4x4.

Thanks for the help guys with the FT kit! Has anyone here actually converted their non FT to FT using the AE kit?

It seems that people have had issue's fitting their RX8's in the chassis etc. I'm just looking for any pointers. Since I will be picking the kit up ASAP. I'll also probably just stick with the stock chassis as well for now. I will also need to pick up some saddle packs. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Can anyone explain to me how the 3_2 And 3_3 rear blocks differ affecting handling? Thanks...

Well the 3 denotes 3 degrees of toe in. The 2 denotes 2 degrees of anti-squat. Per Associated, less ant-squat lets the suspension work better over bumps but will sacrifice the ability to square up under power. Having run both during infancy testing with this truck,I have found the 3-2 works the best all around for this truck. I hope this helps
