Hey guys, I'm about 90 pages back on this thread and was hoping someone could answer this for me..
Why is my rear diff clicking after one day at the track when I used 6mm of up travel limiters from the get go? I'm pretty sure it's the diff as I've tightened the belt a couple of times with no effect.. also tightened and loosened the slipper with no effect. I have the X-ray 5x15x0.3 shims as well as a couple diff rebuild kits on hand but really didn't want to rebuild so quick..The truck is a FT. Thanks for any insight...Also just read that AE is sending out .5mm shims, should I use one stock, 0.2, and one X-ray, 0.3 shim under each sun gear or just one 0.3 shim under each?

Jay.

Hey, Cameron. I can't find that setup sheet you posted for Dave's... at all. I've got 100 pages back 1 by 1 and I give up. Can you help me out? Finally fixing the thing.

Sorry.

Default Cameron's set-up

With the warmer weather I have gone up in shock oil. The track is changing after this weekend for the Willamette Valley Classic that is on the following weekend. So things might change with my setup for there again.

Thanks a ton, Cameron. Yeah, I just really wanted to see where you were 'heading' with your truck seeing as how we drive the same tracks. I was going to head out to dave's today but some FB post said trackchange and I didn't want to drive out there and get turned away from driving. So I played it safe. I'll be going out there from now on though. Time to put the foot down and the truck down again.

Jay.

*check carefully all the spider & sun gears for wear or missing teeth
*replace worn shims
*do not over tighten gear cover screws as it
will only wrap the gear case . Tighten screws to bottom out flush and no more.
* check the slipper , too tight and stripped sun-gears & counter gear occur way easier.

Hey Guys! hoping to get some recommendations and suggestions as its been a few months since I've had a chance to get back to racing thanks to work and family obligations.

Anyway, I have a standard SC10 4x4 and I remember a few months back that I still needed to make more improvements on the truck to get it handling better. It has the RCShox garodiscs which worked well enough with my Tekin 4600 motor & RX8 Esc. Diff oil up front is 30K and the Rear has 5K. I use stick packs and it has the RPM arms on it along with the Fast Lap Products chassis brace. I did noticed a hairline crack in the rear right where the brace screws into (above the motor) so I decided to get the Associated FT Upgrade Kit since I am doing a tear-down to update and replace a few things. Another option part I decided to install was a new Exotek chassis to help the truck feel more planted on some of the loose tracks that I visit.

Seems many are now using the 8mm hub mod. Are there any other optional ugrades to help this truck feel more planted on loose but big outdoor off-road tracks? Any help and suggestions would be very much appreciated as I try to get this truck back towards the top of our Club races which are just dominated by Losi and Durango SC trucks...

Thanks!

Next weekend is the Willamette Valley Classic at Dave's RC tracks. Come out and race. I just bought a 2w SC so I might race that instead of 4w.

Looking good WC nothing wrong with the FT setup at TRCR. Looks like you are running on brown carpet you have so much traction.

Sorry guess I can not post video from an iPad.
