Have you seen that the mods shut down the sc10 thread and started a SC10 part deux with a link to the original thread for reference?
Below is a post from the first page and we're way over 20k posts. I have seen this thread get buggy a couple times but assumed it was the server.... and maybe it was, who knows.
A few threads on another couple forums I frequent that also run off of V-Bulletin and after about 20,000 posts they start a "part 2" or "V2".
The mods all say something about threads not loading after that number according to V-Bulletin.
I have no idea if that is true at all or not but I can see a thread just maxing out.

I have pro-tek bullets. I don't think they could go bad like that. It was the - that melted. Is it okay to use them if the still function fine?

Oh ilanstylz, don't every begin to worry. I'm 100% certain it's my fault (not sure how though) and I wouldn't even begin to think about blaming it on you. I'm not the "I want a new battery!" "But you put it in the microwave" "So?" type.

I was browsing the FS/FT thread and there were more SCTE's than SC10 4x4's for sale (at least on the first two or three pages). If I kept a diary I might even jot that down. Maybe all the work others have put into this truck and this thread is starting to pay off with happy trucks and happy owners.

I had the exact same thing happen to my nano tech.
Dropped my current limit to 85% and never had an issue again.
Rx8/pro4 4600
I was also using protek bullets. Went back to the cage style, I feel they have more contact pressure.

If so, same connector I run.
I hear the castle connectors last longer, but I don't mind swapping them out every couple months because I can visually see when they are getting too worn and squished together.
If I dont have the visual warning, I will find out when the castles are done the hard way.
For a $43 nano tech, I wouldn't run it. The connecting wires from the plugs to the cells could have gotten damaged from the heat of the plug arcing.
Not worth the risk to me in my truck that has more $ in it than I want to count

+1!
When I charge @ 20 amps, it does not hurt to balance and add 1 minute to the charge time and at that rate I would rather be on the safe side and balance.
Different story I guess if you are charging at a snails pace 1c when all you got is 5 to 6 amps going in.

If you do not balance every time you go over 1c charge rate, you will melt down the first cell in the charging series. (decided by how the battery is wired) Do not under any circumstances charge over 1c without balancing. This is an entirely different situation than we were talking about the last two days!
I'm ordering the CVA junk I need and the 8mm mod. Going to give the truck another shot with them. See if it can outpace my slash again.

Yup, those!
It seems fine so I will try and run it lightly because I can't really afford another battery at the moment. I'll definitely get a new one at some point though. Can you tell if the ones in the pic are worn?
