Anyone using Outerwears shroud or "shock wears"
I'm not a big fan of the kit shock boots and my under tray doesn't fit very well with the FT brace.

I agree. You will most likely not have a problem with soft-packs (assuming your track allows them) but having watched my Habu melt into the ground, it's just one less thing for me to worry about.

When they get damaged, whatever they are in is a write off. I would hate that to be my rc truck.

I'll give it a shot next time I happen to have both cars apart.

Hmmmmm, I backed off all the diff mounting bolts to make sure they weren't pushing through, but it isn't smooth. I moves (i.e. not caught on anything) but it isn't anywhere near 'free' spinning. How freely should it move?
If I use my thumb on the spur I can maybe get 1cm or so of movement.

I don't know if you are building a kit or not but I ran into this today on the kit I am building. I built my diff's and installed them only to find that one of them would not turn free at all. I forgot to put the gasket in the diff while building it, so I disassembled to install the gasket and discovered that one of the small screws that holds the diff together was not completely seated, it would turn, but not smooth. Once I tightened the offending screw the diff turns fantastic.
I hope this helps.

you should be able to pull the belt and spin it easily. Check to see if the belt is binded up.

How are you guys mounting the RX8 on the FT 4x4 with the stock saddle pack setup? I can't seem to fit it in there.
Thanks

Or put it on the side of the receiver box and shave some of the center part of the chassis off that divides the two.......

has anyone tried putting the RX8 on the side where the receiver is and then putting the receiver box on the opposite side? I'm wondering how this would affect weight distribution with saddle packs.

You can also fit the rx8 in by trimming the back corner of the battery tray on the receiver box side. Somebody honestly cant remember who but a regular poster put up pics of it a week or two ago.

My spur gear feels very hard to turn and when i pull on the belt it feels very tight with no motor.when i remove the belt the front and rear spin very free like a b4.is this normal or could it be belt tension to tight.also the outside of my belt is fraying.any ideas?

Check again that the front clicker is installed correctly. It will go together wrong and appear to look right but be out of alignment and cause belt rub.
