not worth the time, once you get them done and inform everyone they will be available from AE, then you will have wasted your time. good idea
but to short lived to be worth it.

Default Havoc pro sc system

Anyone use the Novak pro sc ballistic 4.5 system in their sc10 4 x 4 yet. Just wanted to know if they fixed the esc yet or is it still fire prone as suggested on various posts. Would the gtb 2 package be any better. Or should I skip Novak esc's all together.

You opinions would be valued

Thanks lyrragnus

I was afraid we would see this eventually.

Track Star build. Quote;

" The CVAs went together really quick and as a side note with as beefy as the rest of the truck is and using 32 pitch gears for the use of 550 motors I found it strange that they chose to stay with the miniscule 1.6mm drive pin for the CVA joints. On top of this only one set of holes are included in the axles where 2 to 3 more pair could have been added to prolong the use of them."

Anyone have any trouble getting the 4mm locknut on the steering servo saver. Can't seem to get the spring compressed far enough to get the locknut started.

I went with the Tekin RX8 esc. Much more reliable & easy to setup. Just my .02 cents.. Plus its a 1/8 scale esc so it should run alot cooler..

My friend and are both using the combo. We both love it. Fast and smooth.

Ya, it was a bitch. You just have to push really hard. I found the easiest way was to hold the nut driver and nut in my left hand (i'm right-handed), and turn the whole unit with my right hand.

Just seemed easier that way for me.

FYI, If your radio doesn't have EPA adjustment, you'll have to get a radio that does. I had been making the traxxas link radio work up until I got this truck, ended up stripping the servo horn. I've since bought a airtronics radio.
I could not get the servo saver to budge by hand, but that was pre-lubing it. I'm running 70% EPA. Another option for cheap radio guys may be trying the slightly shorter 2wd horn, with ball stud the other direction. I noticed the "A" airtronics servo horn has sloppy splines and strips out easier than it should. Get some spares if you run this horn and hold out for a better quality one.

Yeah seriously.. they need to redesign that part with some more threads on it. Or put a little softer spring on.
