You could try adding a cap on the receiver, that may already do the trick in your case.

I know Don, I raced oval with him on and off for the past decade (which is where the idea for 1s batteries came from, left over oval stuff).

I see your weights came down from the conventional saddles to the pan car batteries. Is it my imagination, or did you have extra ballast in the edge slots of the chassis?

Hey guys, just bought an SC10 roller, and can't think for the life of me how to get the servo installed. Do I need to break down the entire front assembly? Also is there anyway to fit a flat 7-Cell NiMh battery into the compartment?

does the location where the motor goes in the sc10 4x4 have a chance for heat issues? the reason i ask is because i bought a sc10 4x4 and it has a hole cut in front of the motor with a little fan blowing on the motor. i will post a picture of what i am talking about.

Slide in battery tray.. Battery mounted to tray outside of truck then held in With Standoffs. Just an idea so far....need to flesh out details.

I ran the track at the local dusty, sandy low grip track today. Ran 4 packs.
originally had yellow springs in the rear but then changed back to blue per Mantis and the truck was running really good for a track that was slick as ice.
I gotta say Mantis did a good job setting me up!![Nodding](https://www.rctech.net/forum/classic_images/smilies/nod.gif)
Truck is so much easier to drive. I love pulling the trigger on the straight!
I don't know why some of you guys have problems pitching the nose down, my truck would over rotate and somersault LOL.
The only thing I did which helped really good was add a 2mm shim to the rear camber link that gave me that extra traction I needed.
I may bump up the rear shock fluid up to 22.5 or 25 not sure, I did hear it chassis slap.
The rc shox pistons definitely do a good job rebounding, they work great.
I didn't even have the right tires on the front and my truck was very fun to drive.
the only problem I had was with my RX8. I was running good all day then it would cut out, it wasn't overtemping , all the led's were blinking and I would have to power. eventually it came back but it kept cutting out on me which is annoying.
overall very happy with truck now, glad I kept it. can't wait to run it on a better prepped track.

Yeah, with the saddles, I had added almost 5oz of lead. Haven't added amy weights yet.

My two front cva's are bent. How do these bend so easily?
Do they aftermarket stronger ones?

Jeff, the front cvds bend when either the up travel is too great (not enough external limiters allowing shaft to hit diff outdrive), or the down travel is too great. If you have unscrewed the eyelets on the shocks, the cvd shaft can hit the upper c hub boss. Always check both these conditions whenever you make a front shock change of any kind.
