I got to point our marketing guys at my company to this thread. I would love have this kind of brand loyalty. Take a few mods that your followers swear up and down are not needed even though your sponsored drivers use them. Slap an AE logo on the side, and people say they will be the best 2 months before it even hits the shelves!

Yeah, perhaps they could do a blind taste test and let some racers drive different vehicles that are all disguised and see if they can choose the brand.

those things are what made me shelve my AE and run the TLR SCTE instead

If you go to AE's site and pull up the pic and expand it you will see that it looks like they are using the mount got the underbody. I had to look closely to see it.

As for the comments from everyone that said they don't like the cf saddle pack brace, why? I love the fact that it has a quick release instead og having to remove a minimum of 2 thumb screws. Thumb screws are tedious and everyone who races knows that when you want to get your kit ready, a quick release battery strap and save some headaches.

Default Read the manual

Hey Guys,

Why do all the guessing on how the FT truck is made.
Just download the RTR/FT manual and see yourself.
It tells all the differences between RTR/FT.

I downloaded the new FT manual and it looks like you can still build the kit in a stick pack configuration. I don't know if it comes with everything required but the option is there. Also in the saddle pack set-up, there is a provision for optional ballast weighting. Sounds interesting.

Ironically, I don't miss my SCTE at all because after one season of racing it, I had to replace half the truck three different times (outdrives 2x, all CVD's 3x, all diff pins and gears 3x not including the ones they sent me free because the first batch was junk and all of the camber link/tie rod ball ends about 4x because they wore so fast and created excess slop).

Expect to drop quite a bit in parts just to keep it running. It's a great truck when it's fresh, but it fell off very quickly for me.

So far the AE truck is wearing very well for me and the materials and build quality are far superior. It is a little funky to work on at first, but I got used to it quickly and don't mind it at all now.

is EA gonna design a new innerbody aswell? It seems that it wil no longer fit when you have the FT chassisbrace instelled

something AE overlooked?

or am I not allowd to run my truck on a wet dirt/clay track ?

Chassis brace is not necessary with the Exotek chassis.

Default Inline or side by side saddles

Just a theory.
I have been following this thread for a while and havent read the pros/cons of the saddles mounting 2 options. .Can a few chime in on the differences of running the inline saddles vs side by side?
