I would assume clay to be the obvious choice- at our local track the Pink BK Bar was the go to tire. The clay Typos and Handlebars (usually LTD) have proven to be just as good if not better. BUT, its becoming increasingly regular for us to shift to an SS Typo or LTD Handlebar later in the day as the track dries and gets a bit dusty. I think the short pin height on those two in particular helps the pins not deform under load, whereas SS compounds from other companies would feel greasy and inconsistent as the pins just folded over.

That's for sure not a normal thing for club races/racers to have to abide by (though I'm sure you're not alone), but it does happen. Didn't think of that when I posted. Honestly, I hadn't heard of that being an issue at a club race in so long, didn't even give it much thought.
Makes me wonder why or what the reason is for that? I know most tracks/clubs use ROAR rules to some extent, but don't usually get that strict for regular club races.

The mounting bead diameter is different, its larger on the evo wheel. Had a local racer trying to do this two weeks ago- no 4wd front wheels for the Durango buggy that he runs.

Does it matter how good the typo is if it isn't ROAR legal? I can't run them at the track where I run as we race under ROAR rules, so as cool as they sound, and as much as I like AKA, until they are legal I won't bother trying them.
Currently running Handlebars front and rear on my B4.2 and like them a lot.
