If you were running the foam in the older runs of the REBAR then yes, in mod the tire would spool up or "diff out" and expand like crazy causing the rear end of the car to be a little unstable at high speed or when punched out of a loose corner. Those REBARS are smooth inside with no real support. The new REBARS that are on the shelves now have a waffle grid on the inside that reduced the tire growth a bunch and made them handle much better. I've never personally noticed the foams acting funny.

Default Rebars

so i mounted these with some large open cell foams and they kick out alot on the b4.1. Should i throw in some aka inserts? Running smooth med high bite clay. Bk bars in pick are great rn. Also these are soft compound.

thanks

I'd be interested to hear opinions on this as well.

I know this is not a 1/8th thread but here's my question, wishbones seem to be discontinued in 1/8 buggy, does anyone know if there being replaced with the rebar maybe?

is the soft Enduro a good all round tire for hard packed clay like surfaces, and loose dry conditions as well?

Still testing compounds, we are really close to nailing it down. I know it has been a long time testing but I am sure everyone would understand that AKA wants to make sure the compound is right.

the medium wishbones are still available while supplies last on the website . I can't speak for Mark or Joel but I am pretty sure there is no immediate plans for 1/8th scale buggy Rebars. I am sure in due time there will be something drawn up for indoor clay (Rebar) type tracks. Possibly 1/8th scale buggy Vektors

Yes, I would imagine either soft enduros or soft Rebars in your case.

Those Vectors looks great. If you need testers feel free to send some my way. I have a great track to test them on and my hours are very free right now.

Not a tire question but I just want to make sure I have this straight in my head: when you say "on exit" are you always assuming that is "on power" steering as well? I hear on-power/off-power and initial stearing/mid-corner/exit stearing used seemingly interchangeably and I want to make sure I'm understanding it correctly. It seems to me that, ideally, you're off-throttle coming into a turn and on-throttle coming out of it so those two things should be interchangeable.

Mid-corner stearing, as I understand it, would be most noticeable when turning through a sweeper, correct? If your rear end is coming loose in the middle of a sweeper you have too much mid corner steering and/or too little rear grip, right? I was struggling with this particular example with my SCT at the KO race.

Hey guys. I'm getting ready to glue up a set of super soft Vektors for the front of my 2wd buggy. I have a coule of foam options available right now and am trying to decide what to use:

1.) J-Concepts stock 2wd front open cell - seems to be a little softer and have a flatter profile than option two
2.) Losi stock 2wd front open cell - seems to fill out the tire better, gives a more rounded profile to the tread face, and seems stiffer (supports the tire a little more)

Anyone have any opinions on this? Do the Vektors benefit from a flatter or a more rounded profile?

For reference, my local track is hardpacked and a little damp clay. I'd say medium bite usually also. Thanks!

Good questions and if possible, same feedback/ideas as to what open cell foam to use for the "rear" 2wd based AKA tires would be great as well.

I do have "rear" Losi open cell foams to use, and wanted to see what others have used/thought. (say the "Impact" AKA rear tires in my case.
