What pinion?

So I just bought a 410 from someone here on tech.net. It's missing a few things including a rear hinge pin and an aluminum spacer as well as a pinion.

It came with an 8.5 motor and a TEKIN RS esc. I will probably eventually switch out the RS for a PRO that I have in my 2wd (no need for the pro there).

However for the time being, what pinion should I try? I think it came with the stock center spur, but I am not 100% sure. Clay track. Would rather go a little lower on the pinion as I will not need all that speed and I would like to keep the temp down.

Do you really have to remove the rear diff to install your batteries? Just bought the car and it's all I am seeing

No need to remove the diff, remove the spur gear using the clip and the battery clip then the batteries come straight out.

I am thrilled with the car......the only downside to buying already assembled is not knowing exactly how it all went together thanks for the assistance.

That was simple and so much easier to change gearing......compared to the old B44 I had.......I am very happy to have switched brands. I bought a 210 as well and sold all the associated stuff

Year I hear that.. I bought my first 210 assembled. And it was a bit of a headache to tune at the track. So I picked a weekend and tore it apart and rebuilt it. That way I knew how everything went together..

I use the Tresrey hoops, the V3 diff cases already have bearing spacers built in, so I think maybe its intended for the older model 410's ?

The Tresrey hoops are the bomb. As are all the of the Tresrey parts.

newbie to durango.can you some help.

looking at getting a 410.although i see there is many versions.
question is what are the major diffrences in models.

i think these are all the versions i have found searching.

The v3 versions are the only ones available new now and if you can afford it the 410 v3 is the one to go for as it has all the hope-ups and big bore shocks as standard, if your on a budget go for the 410r v3 but if your a below average driver expect to have to put a few alloy upgraded parts on as you crash.

If your going second hand I'd try to go for a 2010 spec as they have all the hop-ups but the small bore shocks like the 410r v3, which still work very well if your track is relatively smooth
