Only downside is they are heavier compared to paint. Not that added weight is an issue..it's added weight up high.

No particular setup, just trying to bounce off some ideas. We have a new track opening and yet to see the layout, surface etc. I like the idea of running the 'old' velvets and getting as much life outta them as possible. Or the BB are excessively expensive! When I'm ready to run BBs I'm likely to add the FS2 SP kit instead and share between the RB5 lol. Thanks again,

I'm running a 24 on a SPv3 8.5/VTX10 with about 10 degrees on the motor and 30 on the esc. About 55C. Was on a 25 but trying a bit more boost and 1 tooth less.

Hey guys, just bought a used RB5 SP2 and need a part to complete it. Its a doubled sided link. It attaches the Servo Saver Ball End to the Ball End on the Servo Arm. Does anyone have a part number for it? I'm also looking for a Manual. Thanks

So with a locked endbell 8.5 and a 21 t pinion I could go up from 23 degrees timing to say 30. And leave the boost at 12?

Hmm. No one seems to have info about pricing or how exactly to order them. Oh well

Thanks for the input on the weight though.

Should be fine I guess. Just recheck your temps. 120F is still fairly low I think.

Personally would go up a pinion or two instead of adding more timing/boost as I feel 21 is slightly undergeared. But it probably depends on your particular motor, your track and if you dont have a handy pinion, adding a bit of timing should work for more top end.

I have an SP2 (not Worlds) and was considering just purchasing the Kyosho big bores for the front but I cannot seem to find them for any price that apporaches reason (or reality - really Kyosho - you're gouging).

TLR Fronts go for about $45 shipped and wondered if anyone has considered putting those on the front.

Thoughts?
the bog bores are available under $50 at rchobbies4life.com
I just got a spare set for both the buggy and the SC
Way better than TLR's, the K bb's bleed flawlessly. Funny thing is I still have a 22 for sale and I was thinking I should try K bb's on it. NOT

Do you use timing, and turbo also or just 30 degrees of timing?

30 of acceleration timing, did have around 8 or 10 of turbo, but I've removed that since I rarely get into the turbo zone.

I run a revtech 8.5 on a med/large track with 25/78 and a little turbo. I can run a whole pack without any heat issues and its plenty fast.
