Yeah that sucks... looks like Losi drew you in with an innovative design and crappy little 140 dollar battery you need to make the chassis somewhat work on a regular sized 1/10 track.

Actually, I am more consistent with my 22 than I ever was with my RB5. I may not be any faster on a lap to lap basis though. I also run a full length pack. Locals with 22's have tried shorties and had no change in performance.

I want to do some back to back comparisons. While I am happy with my 22, there are little things that nag me about it and the RB5 just has an intangible that the 22 can't give me. It is probably some sentimental thing.

You would probably be more consistent with the RB5 if it weighed as much as your 22 with a full size pack. If your on a large high bite track the full size pack might be the way to go. I ran one for a bit it was fine not nearly as much fun to drive as the RB5 but it was good on everything but loam for me.

Yeah, my 22 is 100g heavier than my RB5 was at the time. I ran my RB5 around 1520g. I did notice that the McDuffie setup said over 1600g.

My local track is pretty big and the grip can be quite high. I have videos on my youtube channel. The layout has changed since that charity race(new videos with the new layout are coming out tonight).

Yeah, same here, the Losi liked the higher bite, any dust and I couldn't get it moving forward-sideways yes, forward not so much..

Ok, now for a stupid moment, I did the Mcduff mods, and ran it last night, and the car was weird, it was inconsistent as it's ever been, and was thinking wth. Changed tires, and went back out, and still twitchy, and I could barely keep it between the pipes..Looked the car over, and apparently the guy (me) who built my shocks must had one too many-right rear, and left front shocks had the short shocks tops, and the others had the correct ones-but other than that...lol Whata Goon..

Black dirt-usually med bite that is shedding and dusty right now, so its a bit slippery-DD's or flip outs in green are the tire to be on..

Hey Brian, looking at the pics you posted, and I am curious, why you running the short cvd's and long axles? Secrets??

here is a pic of a new body on the rb5, someone bought the other one so I threw this together quick so Id have one to drive it.
I actually think I am a fan of the older style bodies better now that I see this one on my buggy as I drive it.

change in the body didnt notice any difference in handling at all. so I feel like the whole better performance with it is bs unless you are doing mach 10.

I still like the old trident body for the RB5 not much on these new bulldog bodies & such like that. guess I'm old school still after 23+ years of doing this hobby

I definetly find a difference in the Bulldog body with the steering you get in a sweeper. I have a ton of rear bit so ill do anything to give a little to give me more steering.

well right now it is carpet season for me, and my front sticks no matter what unless i change tires or drop the wing mounts down. I was surprised at how much downforce/rear traction I lost when I dropped it the whole way down.

there is a HUGE difference between the bodies.i found that if you run the bulldog..it has to be on high bite! otherwise the rear end will slip out from time to time.crazy steering though! my 2wd and 4wd acted the exact same with both bulldogs on it.
