I had that happen to me also, when I was building my "SP". One side would bind a little more than the other. I think it was eventually between the the pin keeper screw, and the set screw on top of the pivot block were working against each other-try backing the keeper screw out a little-should set it free..

ok will do thanks for the help it looks like its binding when you put the 2 pieces in when you slide the pin in.when its by itself the arm swings with no binding at all.but when i insert the pin into the entire assembly i get the bind

tip on front inner hinge pins.. leave the set screws out of the pivot block.. the front bumper will hold the pins in perfectly fine and make front arm changes much easier

ok i got it built!i used a b4 gear set because the track i primarily go to is tight.its geared at 72/28 with a 17.5 motor.i thought i read somewhere that the ae spur gear would work fine but i cant get the slipper to lock down.i used the ae slipper pads as well.when i hold both rear wheels and hit the trigger all i get is a zing sound!the front wont pick up at all.any thoughts?also i have 1.5 oz in the nose.

sounds like your diff is too loose .. and probably needs a rebuild

I've found diff adjustment on the kyoshos are a little more touchy than other vehicles , like the above post said sounds like Ur diff is loose. Id also suggest ditching the stock diff balls for ae carbide or ceramics as they last better imo . Also breaking in the diff helps too, I do mine with a drill , some do it when its in the car

forgot to mention i did use the ae diff balls also.it looks to me like the two metal discs that sandwich the gear and pads is a shade to big to fit the recess in the gear.just guessing though.its a 72 tooth gear.

Hmm- I have used the AE spur and pads on mine before-never had an issue..you could always run the Kyosho 76 spur-not too much difference..

I think the ae and kyosho slipper pad discs are the same diameter
