It's actually not bad considering a set of stock (truck) velvets was around the same price. I just think it's nuts that they don't come with any kits yet.

Dan...did you ever get a chance to take those pics?

Havent't run the big bores yet...they should be here any day now, but I have seen the way the buggy settles into the suspension with them on. The buggy squats...and isn't easily upset in rought sections. I've seen them in action (when Tebo ran them at Nats) at when the buggy lands its like a pillow....they allow you to "get on the gas" sooner cause the buggy isnt "upset" after landing. I have run big bores on the "other companys" car.....huge difference between std shocks and big bores. No, the cost isnt cheap. But once you bolt them on and run them you'll wonder why you waited so long to try them. Thats the way I felt after running them for the other car.....

PM sent.

The 2 hole rear arms are UM521...the one hole arms are the SP2 arms which are UM521-1

Ray is correct. With the old arms we were running the outside hole in the arm and unscrew your shock end one turn more for the same droop.

hi guys, just got an RB5 (well, last fall, just haven't had the chance to run it yet), I did a little searching, but couldn't find what i was looking for. My buggy is from the first wave, I am fairly certain it has the arm conversion, but am not 100% certain. What upgrades should i put on this bad boy for indoor clay (mostly), and some outdoor (mostly hard loam)? Is there an SP2 upgrade package like the SP upgrade? email or pm would be better for me (hard for me to get on here and check often )
email: [email protected]
Thanks,
Rod

I am just starting to run my RB5 Sp2 w/big bores and wanted to know if someone could hook me up with a good starting setup for a medium size medium bite clay track. I will be running mod. Thanks.

this is the only posted setup i know of from tebo. normally his setups are a great starting point and you can tweak from there. i havent found his setup from this year yet.

I am currently running this same setup, but with red springs in the rear and the buggy feels great, I am using this setup on an indoor clay track.

I bought my big bores used. I am going through them to make sure they are near perfect and the guy has a 1mm shim between the piston and the lower section...a limiter. Does the big bore instructions call fir this shim or did the guy just limit the shocks?
