Stock as in "17.5"? What are you using for a esc?.. Check out "brushless gear chart". Google it. You can enter the electronics you have and it will give you a gear ratio...

Currently running 17.5 with boost Duo 2 motor with Speed passion ESC.
Geared 78/28. So if you are at 72 i would drop down a tooth since you aren't using boost. Try 72/27. That should get you in the ball park. Check for temps after 2 minutes.

i think that a 27, is too small.. he needs to be around a 30, or 31 with stock.. my buddy didnt have the tekin esc, but the tekin motor.. and that what he had..

if you boost the timing or whatever.. you may could go with a smaller pinion.. but.. with no boost.. i think a 72/30 will get you in the ball park..

I was running 33/72 with a Fantom 17.5 and an old LRP Sphere. Have not run since the 65c packs came out and the track layout will be new for the weekend so it will kinda depend on the layout.

I am having a slight problem with the rb5 setup if anypone could help. I cannot seem to get my car to pull out of the corner as hard as the other cars. Still doing very well with the car, but i am loosing .1-.3 a lap because of this.

Running on a high bite indoor dirt track, smooth about 50x90.

I would like to get this worked out before the jconcepts winter indoor nationals but I have not found anything to work yet besides making the rear loose, but then it is hard to run consistent lap after lap
