Thanks Jeremy, I already have a 6900 on the way, do you think I can down tune it enough to make it controlable on a medium size track that is moist and somewhat hard packed.

Default RB5 rules

Just wanted to say, I drove my brand new RB5 this weekend for the first time. It rocked!!! This forum rocks, too. The set up tips are great. Keep them coming.

I'm looking into a Lazer ZX-5 next. If I can wait, then I'll get the SP. But, I may need it tomorrow.

Several of us here near Toronto are using the LRP Sphere. It fits no problem, even with the heatsink installed. Not sure about the TC version w/ fan though.

Default 6900

agent- Yes you can down tune it I would start by gearing a little high just watch the temp that will kill some of the torque. Then if you wanted I would turn the epa down on your radio a little bit. If you want to change anything in the programing I would recomed the punch control setting.
If you have anymore Mamba questions just pm me.
later Jeremy

What do you do for this mod, just drill holes into the tops of the battery strap posts and then drive in the FT thumbscrew posts? What size drill bit do you use?

TIA.

i would also be interested in the thumbscrew modification.
i have made a carbon battery strap similar to the tuning strap (couldn't get the original) to provide me with more possibilities in selecting battery placement especially when using 5 cells and not having to solder cables to the battery.

I just cut my battery posts down so they were about half way into the battery strap when it was pressed down against the battery. Then I drilled a hole in the center of the posts a little small than the grub screws used in the ft thumbscrew kit. I dont remember what size bit I used.

Nice looking body. Looks like an illusionized version of the stock body.

I just hope it huges the chassis better. I'm tired of the dirt inside the buggy.

I was thinking that it looks very similar to the stock body...but if it fits tighter...even if it's otherwise identical, I'm in.

Nahhh the chassis is plenty large enough already.
