I'm definitely toying with the idea.......... Have an NIB RR grasshopper - complete with 380, or a very reliable Lunchbox. Seems a shame to do something sensible like run an RC10/JRX2.

Hi all,

There has been some suggestion of splitting up competitors into classes, ans issuing trophies based on where they came in which class.

I have indicated that I don't see why we can't have trophies for "line honours", first "hardtail" and first "sportsman". Sportsman in the states is tamiya plastic tub type such as frogs, foxes, wild one's etc. Anything with a graphite/plate/proper aluminium tub type chassis (i.e. any competition car of the late eighties, plus some outstanding earlier cars such as Rubin) would be running for line honours.

Let me know what you guys think.

Hey Gaz,

I don't think I'm gunna make it, I wish I could, as I have a good collection of cars that could go the distance.
You never know anything could still happen.

Cheers
David

Hey Gang,

Just talking to a few people about this event and it seems that there is a fair amount of interest although there are grumblings about running on a Saturday.

I spoke with Bob (who is putting together a car) and with a few others keen for this event to succeed and we come up with an alternate date...

30th November!

It doesn't clash with any event or club day, nor does it interfere with work and, dare I say, the missus won't be too cheesed off running 2 days in a row as was previously planned.

Can we get some thoughts?

Ant hasn't received any entries yet so I believe that this event can be a great success if it is moved to a different date!

I think Saturday Nov 1 is the better date.

The date is set, we already have a race controller organised and there is new school racing on Sunday.

Saturday racing across the board isn't a bad idea.

Ummm... You don't work in the RC industry do you Neil - Saturdays are impossible to get off for most people - probably the reason why most clubs run on a Sunday.

We did have a date set but since there have been no entries it isn't exactly set in stone - also, I did speak with Ant and he'd like to see a good attendance - something that might be a little hard given the date.

Remember to be like a reed in the wind...

Any date is ok for me....I've got my form filled out and hope to see Ant sometime at the track to pay.
Ant ..Keilor has changed it's track and it's their first meet on the new layout, maybe I might see you out there tomorrow.
I'm sure we'll get a good turn out for the enduro...just early day yet.

So that's 4 teams that have no issue with the date change!

Also Neil, you wouldn't want to win just because the title defenders couldn't attend!

Shallow victories do not great men make...
