Default Free Track Design Software @ RC-Junkies.nl

With the permission of the developer Zanthrax of the Trackmaster Software you can now download Trackmaster software from www.RC-Junkies.nl!
The direct link is: http://www.rc-junkies.nl/news/index....-van-circuits/

Zanthrax: Trackmaker is a racetrack designing tool, I originaly made it for people who want to design indoor tracks for their small RC cars like the Kyosho Mini-Z’s and Tomy Bit CharG’s. But ofcourse it also works for other kinds of tracks. There is no manual for Trackmaker, it should be clear how to use it. If you dont get it, just pretend you’re drawing in Paint and think of the tracktiles like the different colors. I’ve been told that the program runs under Wine for the Linux OS, but I haven’t tested it myself. I do know there are memoryproblems under the ancient Windows 98 but Windows XP/2000 and up and later versions the program nicely

When you have some imagination, you can use this quite well for offroad tracks!

seems to work ok using Wine version 1.2
takes a while for it to start, says initializing please wait and does so for what seems an eternity, but it eventually starts

quite simple to use, just click on the section of track you want at the top of the screen and click to add it to the grid at the bottom of the screen.cant get any easier then that now can it.
thanks for this

another good free software for track design is google sketchup. its not made just for track design but is 3d and works very well. another big plus is that google has a place call 3d warehouse to store all the designs online. you can go to 3d warehouse without having the program and just look around or even download the designs all free.

I was digging around looking for something to assist me in building some layouts without resorting to pencil and paper and came across this thread. I checked out SketchUp and I've had a blast playing with the software. I've never messed with anything like this before so it has been a lot of trial and error but I'm getting there. I havent found a way to round off the jumps for a more realistic representation of what I want yet but I learn something new every time I look at it Track dimensions are 30'X60' and everything is to scale so far.
