Exclamation DIY Network RC Hobbies Onroad Racing Show

Folks -

Need to find a GREAT venue for taping a full segment for an upcoming RC Hobbies program for the DIY Network. Looking for a SUPER location holding an ONROAD competition near the end of September or Early October.

ANY help or leads you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS.

I think a great place to record some awsome onroad action would be the first race of the Florida onroad gas state series in Ft Myers Florida 2005/2006 season on september 24 and 25. The contact person would be Jim Rice, he is the race director there, I dont have his phone number but I'm sure that someone will come on here and post it. Also you can go to http://www.forgass.com for more info about the state series. Thanks, Freddy V. [email protected]

look at this line up !! how could you not want to do your show about this race ???

the following is from the ICC web site

The drivers include: Ralph Burch, Jilles Groskamp, Martin Hudy, Juraj Hudy, Mike Dumas, Joel Myrberg, Mike Blackstock, Barry Baker, Paul Wynn, Teemu Leino, Todd Hodge, Matt Francis, Brian Kinwald, Billy Easton, Hupert Honigl, Chris Tosolini, Sakke Ahoniemi, Simo Ahoniemi, Thomas Pumpler, Paul Lemieux, Josh Cyrul, Ryan Lee, and more!

The International Indoor Championships will be taking place September 21-25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Located at the Stardust Resort and Casino ballroom, this event will be one for the record books. Visit the official website at www.intchamps.com for up to date news and information.

Another World Champion To Compete In IIC
May 2, 2005 (Milwaukee, WI) – Current world champion Marc Rheinard has been added to the list of drivers scheduled to compete in the International Indoor Championships. Rheinard will be joining Team Orion teammates Atsushi Hara, Surikarn Chaidejsuriya, Teemu Leino, and Jilles Groskamp. The event will be taking place September 21-25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I am continually honored that the top drivers in the world are coming to race the IIC“, said Scotty Ernst. “With the addition of Marc to the rest of the drivers in the field, the mains are going to be events that no one will want to miss.”

Last year, Rheinard won the IFMAR On Road Touring Car World Championship at the Full Throttle Speedway in central Florida. Since then he has finished 2nd at the 2005 DHI Cup, 3rd at the Thailand International Touring Championships and recently won at the 2005 LRP Touring Car Masters in April.

The official website of the IIC, www.intchamps.com, continues to be the place to keep up with the latest news on the International Indoor Championships.

European Drivers Groskamp and Honigl Plan To Race In IIC
April 19, 2005 (Milwaukee, WI) - Another side of the globe has been heard from. Hubert Honigl from Vienna, Austria and Jilles Groskamp from the Netherlands have announced plans to race in the International Indoor Championships. The event will be taking place September 21-25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“This shows the true interest in the event from around the world “, said Scotty Ernst. “The European drivers have adapted very well to foam tire racing in the US, and now many of the US drivers will be running on rubber tires at the IIC. It will be interesting to see who will be setting the pace in each of the tire classes. Also, there is something very special planned for those drivers that run both Rubber and Foam Modified at the IIC. Stay tuned.”

Honigl’s last race in the US was a 8th place finish in the highly competitive Modified class at Snowbirds. Groskamp, coming off his dominating performance at the Snowbirds, will again return to the USA to see if he can gain another title and become the king of the carpet in the USA.

The official website of the IIC, www.intchamps.com, continues to be the place to keep up with the latest news on the International Indoor Championships.

Add Baker, Blackstock & Cyrul To The List
April 16, 2005 (Milwaukee, WI) – The list of top drivers is starting to build as Scotty Ernst has announced that Josh Cyrul, Mike Blackstock and Barry Baker are scheduled to compete in the International Indoor Championships. The event will be taking place September 21-25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“The United States will be well represented with Mike, Barry and Josh competing in the IIC”, exclaimed Scotty Ernst. “With these well known names added to the drivers list, this is going to be a star studded event.”

Stay tuned to the official website of the IIC, www.intchamps.com, as we have some more announcements coming very soon.

Hara And Surikarn To Race In IIC
April 11, 2005 (Milwaukee, WI) – Scotty Ernst has announced that World Champion drivers Surikarn Chaidejsuriya and Atsushi Hara are scheduled to compete in the International Indoor Championships. The event will be taking place September 21-25, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“This is exciting to have these two world champion caliber drivers competing in the IIC”, stated Scotty Ernst. “To be able to watch and race with Surikarn and Hara will make this a fun and memorable event for everyone involved.”

With the addition of the past 2 World Champions, the International Indoor Championships will be a who's who in the world of RC going wheel to wheel to see who will be the best. Stay tuned to the official website of the IIC, www.intchamps.com, for more exciting news.

An excellent venue for you would be the Las Vegas Silverbowl on Oct 13-16. Where they will be running the Paris Memorial On-Road Race. Its a race that is dedicated to the pioneer of Nitro On-Road racing and there will be some big named drivers at this race. I dont know if those dates will fit into your schedule, but this is one of the big races of the year.

If you need more information on this race, please feel free to contact Rich Taylor at www.4acesracing.net..... he will gladly answer any questions you may have.

Exclamation DIY RC Hobbies Show Choice

Folks -

All the input that we got has been great. Due to logistics, budget, schedule issues, etc. We're having to shoot a set of races in Knoxville, TN late this month in order to meet our deadlines. We are, however, already looking at the next slate of shows and will keep all these venues in mind for the next round. Please watch for announcements and for us to be coming your way. THANKS, again.

Too bad. I don't know of any tracks in Tennessee, or any on road gas racers. I guess you want to watch electric indoor carpet only. Off road is probably pretty big in Tennessee.
