Important questions to ask is what type of track you are running at? Tight technical course, or a high speed track? Run both a Cameleon 2, and a Reedy Quad Mag. The Cameleon seems to work better on high speed tracks, and my Reedy Quad Mag seems to like tight tracks like So. Cal. I stay with a simple setup; 769 brushes on both, and red + green - springs. I do a few other mods to get more horsepower though.

The quasar is available in both standup (729) and laydown (766)....

And red/green seems pretty light for a 19t....

I've got a Dynasty that rips. I believe it has 769's with two parallel cuts. +Red -Green springs. Great motor for 1/12th. C2 and QM are really strong for touring.

C2 XXX hole in pos/neg brush. cut off edges. purle pos, red neg. cut motor every 20 runs. New brushes every 50 runs.

I just used a stream lined setup in both motors to see how each compared on the track. I don't own a proper motor dyno yet to run spring comparisons. Anybody have any hard data on running stiffer springs? P.S. Didn't get the memo.
