Hey everyone I am bored right now and have nothing to do so! Why not ask people which power source they like better? I did not start this thread to get everyon mad I want your honest opinion about why you like electric or nitro. I know this is the nitro rc thread, but maybe somone here prefers electric than nitro.

Question - Do you like Nitro or Electric and why?

My Answer - I like Nitro better for two reasons, reason one is because Nitro is faster and you don't have to charge your battery every couple of minutes. And my second reason is because what is the point in having a Rc that is not Nitro? Because Nitro is what seperates (TOY RC) from (HOBBY GRADE!) Even though electric does have a faster acceleration and is less noisy and expensive I still love NITRO!

Nitro may not accelerate as fast as electric but it goes faster!

Nitro isn't faster. It is louder, messy, and makes a lot of smoke, but it isn't faster.

HMMM.... Thats why the worlds fastest RC Car is electric.


Everybody has there opinion about which one they like better but as far as speed, electric can be set up to out run any nitro

I dislike Nitro for the noise, the mess, The issues when trying to run a worn motor, but mostly the noise, and having to stop every 8 minutes to fill the tank.

Speed isn't an issue, as both formats can be powered over and above most peoples skill level for a few hundred dollars.

Do you have any proof because I believe that it is faster the worlds fastest electric rc goes 134.4 mph and the worlds fastest nitro rc goes 200mph!

its not an RC car, its a tether car. huge engine, but no RC gear.

That's why I love nitro ... the sound, the smoke, the smell ... the mechanical aspects of it is great too.

Electric is faster all around! I am sure if someone maded a brushelss tethered car it would scream up to 300mph...

Nitro does have its advantages, but I have yet to see those play out in R/C

Electric IS faster, but with Nitro you always have something to do. That's why it's a hobby after all, right?

i like electric because you dont have to tune the engine, pretty much bolt together and go.
