Default E firestorm thread

found out that HPI are releasing an electric firestorm. aside from the obviously photoshopped body on a couple of websites, there is not much information otherwise. HPI are keeping mysteriouly quiet about it. there isn't even a release date yet... but it should be good! the front bulkhead issue with the nitro version shouldn't be a problem with electric, because of the reduced weight. i was surprised its not brushless though. apparently it is having a 15 turn motor instead.

It looks interesting, I would buy one. Wonder if they'll be out by Christmas.

like that idea....but its still an HPI....AE needs to get in the game and make a RTR Rc10t4SRS (Super Race Spec) with the LRP Eraser System that has been seen around (their sport brushless system, that i haven't seen available to the public tho)

How about.....no. The manufacturers are the ones who need to pull their pants up, Not the punter.

You say it like HPI is a bad company. Did you forget that HB is HPI?

Outdated? How does your E-Firestom handle?

They are keeping the price low, whats so wrong with that?

Your full sized car have a push-rod straight-8 engine?

Would you be happy if it did?, You know, as a cost saving measure?

The time for brushless is now.

Not only due to the fact that brushless tech is far superior, But it would also force them to build a wagon capable of withstanding the power.

the firestorm is waaayyy stiff enough for a brushless. the nitro can handle the low end power of that oversized engine, so why not the electric one? no one knows what it looks like underneath though. except HPI. infact, HPI seem to be one of the last manufacturers to jump on the brushless bandwagon. why?
