Okay guys, here it is... THE FORMAT. 
Thursday: Practice (Two 10 minute Practice Heats Per Ex/Int Class)
Friday: Qualifying (Buggy and Truggy)
Saturday: Qualifying (Buggy and Truggy)
Sunday: Mains
This race is really 2 separate events in one. The first includes four classes:

$70 Entry Fee
300 Entry Limit
3 rounds of qualifying, using the standard QUAL POINT format (no rocket rounds)
10 minute qualifiers.
INTERMEDIATE CLASSES:
10 Minute Lower Mains
15 Minute B Main
20 Minute A Main
EXPERT CLASSES:
$3000 Prize Purse ($1500 x 2)
15 Minute Lower Mains
20 Minute B Main
30 Minute A Main
Winner of each wins automatic entry into 2008 NCWC Invite Class!!!

Now for the second event...
INVITE CLASS ($22,000 Prize Purse)
INVITE BUGGY (30 Racers)
INVITE TRUGGY (30 Racers)
The format for the Invite class is similar to what is used in US Supercross Races.
Two timed practices on Thursday will seed drivers 1-30. The timed practices will be 10 minutes. The first 5 minutes is pure practice. At the 5 minute mark the drivers will be brought into the pit for fuel. After fueling, they will return to the track on the clock. Just like IFMAR, fastest lap will be used for seeding.
FRIDAY: TRUGGY
SATURDAY: BUGGY
HEAT 1 (Odd # Drivers) 12 minute race, top 4 advance straight to MAIN EVENT
HEAT 2 (Even # Drivers) 12 minute race, top 4 advance straight to MAIN EVENT
SEMI 1 (11 remaining drivers from Heat 1) 12 minutes, Top 3 Advance.
SEMI 2 (11 remaining drivers from Heat 2) 12 minutes, Top 3 Advance.
LCQ (16 remaining drivers) 12 minutes, Top 2 take the final Main positions!!!!!
Starting grid in the Invite class will be staggered down and quiet, meaning all the racers will be starting VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. Should be fun...
EXAMPLE STARTING GRIDS:
Expert/Intermediate:
1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 etc. (Normal Down and Quiet)
Invite:
1..3..5..7..9
2..4..6..8..10 Etc...
There will also be a Cash Dash type race at the end of the day Friday and Saturday for the top 4 of each heat race (8 total). This will be an event of it's own
Personally, as excited as I am to race this event, I'm twice as excited just to watch the Invite class over the 3 days.

I guess that depends on what you consider a pro? 30 of the worlds fastest will be in the Invite class, so essentially the guys you would normally see in the A, B, and possibly C mains won't be in the expert class.

HEY shocker are you guys gonna set up something on the main page to register online like they did for the manufactures cup ? to give us a idea how full the event is getting or can we register with a portion of the entry paid or do we need to pay in full right away ??

As for track photos, the layout won't be in until about a week before the event but for anyone not familiar with The Nitro Pit, here's a few photos.

I'm looking forward to this race for sure. Won't miss this one. The Nitro Pit is by far the best racing facility I have raced at. I will also look into making it out there before then, so let me know Trevor when there is good race before then to show to.

Hey Don, glad to hear your coming to the race! I'll be real surprised if I don't see you in the expert A-main.
The track will be blue groove (DRY) for the Nitrocross, so your best bet as a warm up race will be our RC Pro West race on Oct. 6-7. This will be the only other event to be run on blue groove this year. I imagine this will end up being the Nitrocross warm-up race for most people.
