the more i look at it, i would even suspect that it is 'left-hand' compatible..

It can be configured for left or right hand usage.

Very very beautiful piece of work, I hope the screen has backlite (don't feel like to mod it like I did with my N brand "phasor")

two antenna? I don't recall any RC car has 2 position for antenna that close to Rx. or I can just tape the two antenna on each side of Rx case without stick them out. DMS 1 suffer range issue if I keep the antenna in the box.

Not sure I agree with this statement. Increasing the bit rate generally *decreases* the range of wireless communications (see the range differences for 802.11 WiFi radios, for example). The diversity antennas would add back about 6dB of apparent gain to make the reception better in crappy RF environments.

The only way you can use Telemetry with the DX3R is if you use an SR3000 or SR3001 receiver. The SR3100 that comes with the radio is not compatible with the telemetry system.

Yes, I understand that, but the more urgent question still remains:

Where do you put the Telemetry Head Unit? Is there a hole on top of the controller itself as other radios have a vacant antenna hole?

Would I need to change my existing recievers to get the "benefits" of DSM2?
