For mod it is legal to the best of my knowledge. Might not be able to run the Mamba's in the 15 and 10.5 class but for mod I think right now it is anything goes but lipo's at this time.

It feels like you Castle guys are sitting on your hands. But at the same time, I don't think you guys would do that. What behind the scenes entanglement is holding back any and all improvements on Castle's R/C car offerings? Is it Tekin-related?

If you only knew how much they have going on. Don't forget they are huge into 1/18th scale and just as big into planes and helis to.

I would like to hook a Novak 13.5 motor to my mamba. The motor as A-B-C tabs so were does the Red White and Black wires go?

I know its a sensored motor but just want to do some tests.

Thx

CRASH how are you making out with the MI3 and the one way setup?

In I think 2 or 3 weeks I will be running my brushless 4600 and 6900 motors at the ORL2 points series race. Will be interesting to run brushless motors vs running my Mamba Max in brushed mode. Should be a fun experiance. Might have to order the 5700 motor to complete my setup. No need for the 7700 in my stable right now as it is more than likely faster than I can drive anyways.

I'll be getting another MM for my Mi3 today, but want to try out running Orion Vortex BL motor(10.5 and 3.5)...has anyone tried them with the Mamba Max? Any issues?

Running one this weekend, will let you know. I hear they work flawlessly together.

Later,
Exellent...my buddy is also looking to test the MM with the LRP Vector BL 4.5 motor...if anyone else has tested them, would you be so kind to post what you have found out? It'll be nice if that combo works nicely, since the LRP Vector motors are 169g, as opposed to the Novak 189g, and CM36 7700 motors are 197g, according to towerhobbies. 30g less in motor weight is a big help in the power/weight department, as well car balancing. I'd sure love to see Castle Creations come up with BL motors for TC racing that are lighter and with a ribbed can for even better cooling and less weight to hopefully drop it to the 175g range, at least..

yyh, you still have a lot of faith in Castle being useful in your touring car efforts. I lost that faith a while ago.

Well, if it will ever stop fricking raining I could run it! The only thing we can race right now is boats!

Hopefully this weekend, keeping my fingers crossed.
