Default Fall Classic Race in Santa Cruz 10/28-10/29

Howdy,

My name is John and I am a member of Santa Cruz Race Club http://www.santacruz-rc.com We have our 1st annual Fall Classic race coming up this October 28th and 29th and we will be hosting nitro sedan, electric, and drift classes. It would be really cool if you guys could come on up and show us how it's done!! If you want to come up and race or want to contact me, drop me a line at [email protected] and I'll holla back.

This is a trophy race (nice big ones) and is already being sponsored by many of the big companies including Yokomo, Werks Racing, Ace Hardware Hobbies, most of the big R/C magazines, with more signing up every week. Please come on out and join us and enjoy a mellow layed back environment with a really cool track. The sign up flyer is http://santacruz-rc.com/images/fall_classic.pdf

What up Joe Isuzu (aka Henry)?

We have a "local" thread going on over at http://www.rcracing.com and one of the guys scoped out the Quality Inn on Ocean for $59 so far. Not a fleabag by any stretch but then again, not the Four Seasons either For that price, I'd almost stay there so I didn't have to drive all the way across town in the morning

As for tires, we use VHT and the track grip is great. We all run 40-42 for the most part on Mugen and Kyosho. I have yet to see a need for 45s and we have only run 37 when the track wan't sprayed that well but then switched to 40 as the bite came up. I guarantee the bite will be great and consistent both days. I have only 40 and 42 in my box and feel confident they'll work if that helps

Many of the fast NorCal guys love this track Thello, Deprez, Perez, Mishaga, Hannanouchi, Shing, Vasutin, Blackburn<--he's with Kyosho

Like I posted somewhere else, we have an adjacent lot that is big enough for everybody to park their own motorhomes (no hookups). I am sure overnights are against the rules but at $59, that's not bad.

Hope to see you and your boy up here and be sure to tell your friends. I know it's the weekend after the Paris Race but we are going to that too and we are hosting the race so let's get it on!!

Bump.

This is the original thread.

We have signups rolling in daily as well as additional sponsors. I posted a new header graphic and the updated race flyer a couple days ago on the web site. Link is in my sig.

I am sure we will take walk in signups. We initially set a limit of 100 entries but Dave, Mike and I all agreed we would let it slide a bit if we went over. Of course, early signups are always wise.

We look forward to seeing you all at the race.

What up Fraz? Sorry Id love to make it up, but we have a two day race down here that is part of a 6 race point series, otherwise Id think seriously about comin up.

Hope all is well.

'Tis cool. While you may miss a great race, it sounds like you have some good comp down there. Thanks for thinkin' of us.

The cool part is we are getting more and more stuff refined on the race program up here and it is getting better and better. When we start season #4 next year, me and Dave expect to see you here throwin' down
