sun practice
hey guys had a good practice today and broke-in a new motor but still needs some tunning . any sug. on what a good setting for a novarossi mt12 ? i think i will try agin mon. looks like good weather until wed. A few of the regular racers were tunning on their cars and messing around having some fun . Binson was out even with little tractoin was still making some good laps .i ran a RRR with a lola body and tim ran the 720 with the 962 porsche body it sure is nice class i like to see more of the touring racers run the lola gtp and run some diffrent classes just thought it would be nice to change it up also why dont we race the track in the oppisite direction ? all together six touring and two 1/8th scale cars when i left at 2:30 and one electric 1/10th scale pan car .

B.A.T.,
If I was to show up during the week to drive some during the day, how much work does it take to get some decent traction on the track? Do you all start by blowing it off with the blower? I think Nick has a few MT12's, he could probably give you some tuning hints.

well IHITTHEWALLFAST i went to the track today and traction wasnt to bad ran about 5 tanks traction was about med did not blow of the track ther was little wind on days that it is windy with all the work on finishing the off-road dust can be a problem . I like to blow the track off not just because of the dust but the trees drop cones leaves and pine needles and they get in your car so it good practice to clean the track the track has a blower and a wet-vac for water and you are welcome to use them . thanks i will ask nick about those settings .

Racing this Sunday on road
I spoke with Jeff today, they have 260 entered in the RC Pro off-road race this weekend. WOW! I bet there are not that many in the on-road Nats.
I guess the on road on Sunday is off There will be a parking problem I bet

Nick thanks for the update.
The on road club race will be cancelled this Sunday. Jeff will allow onroad practice on Sunday with Spektrum (DSM) only radio equipment so as not to conflict with the off-road race. Jeff plans to keep the concrete lot open for Hobby Shop and On-road customers by blocking it until the Shop opens Sunday.
John
PS You might want to bring your own pit table for weekend onroad practice.

Well I came to the track today, i dont know how to put into words how well the facility was. It was extremely clean and very well run. The races were run very smooth and everything kept a really good pace. You guys do an awesome job at running a race with such large numbers, i was really impressed at everything. Definetly a top notch track, and worth racing whenever you get the chance to.

anyone going to the track wed think I will get in some laps jason hutchins and myself will be there

I know myself and alot of others that left due to the way the heats and mains where run. I had a 5 hour drive and left didn't even run a main due to my mains was going to be like 10PM sunday. Some of us have to work on mondays. Personally I don't think they should have ran 4 rounds, but that is my opinion.
If it wasn't for that, it would had been a great event. Very nice facility though, dusty, but good.

The # of heats run is probably an RC Pro Series Dictate. No control here. Things will be smoother next big race as the hands become experienced.
On-road Track News.
We ran Wednesday and Today. We had good traction both days. Here was the secret. Wednesday we swept and then blew off the track. Then we applied two sprayer tanks of hot water. This redissolved the sugar that is still there from the weekend and suspended any remaining dust in the sugar water layer. The track dried tacky. This saved the session as people were ready to go home from poor traction. Today we just blew it off and resprayed it with hot water. Traction was good enough for the pan car to be seriously fast. If you are there in the morning Saturday and want more traction just blow the track off and respray it with plain hot water. The sugar is still there. It will be until it rains. They finished pouring a slab to connect the off road track and onroad track with new pit space, so this source of powdery dust close to the track is now eliminated. Jeff will not be power washing the track tomorrow. Should be a great day for practice.

Track Prep
Hey guys,
I went by the shop today to pick up my new Ninja. Can't wait to get rolling.
Jeff was preping the track with more coating and construction was being completed on an upgrade in the driver's stand. You will like this one!!! Jeff has put down so much sugar that all we need to bring is the coffee.
See you Sunday,
Roger

hay guys just Keeping in touch how is the onroad going and has the 12 scale started yet? Thanks its starting to get hot over hear again thanks
#327
On road club racing is building slowly. We had about 12 1/10 scales and 6 1/8 scales last Sunday. Nice turnout. This weekend is a large onroad race The RC Pro Series. Should be 60 guys or so. I may show Sunday to take a few pics for the club newsletter.
The carpet track is completely framed now including the walls. Should not be too long before it's operational. The carpet track is about double its original intended size so it should be good for 1/10 scale electric as well as 1/12 scale.

I know Neil and i can honestly say that he is a stand up guy. He is VERY trust worthy and would never mislead anyone. You would have met him if you race at the Speedline race this pass weekend.
