the Skyline 12 Plus pipe isnt bad for this engine, my engine really rips on the str8s and around corners when my car grips.

I am running a Picco 51006 plug 30% nitro

Yea, i went out to 301 today and the car was flying. I cut back to 25% nitro from 30% and it did not seem to affect the way the motor ran at all. I'm waiting for Steve to put his car back together so we can really see how it is running.

Are you guys making head shim adjustments when you make these nitro % changes?

i have ran the engine on 30% even since i bought it, no shims added, im probably gonan lead it to premature engine failure, but its flying down the track

Just inspect your head button, if there is sign of detonation (sandblast) then add a .01mm shim, if it is perfectly smooth and shiny then leave it alone.

I am having a problem getting my hands on one as well. I talked to the guys at CWhits and they should be getting more in next week. This has caused me to look into other engines as thie wait is getting to me.

I know this is a JL Racing thread but does anyone here have experience with the MAx Power 312 or any or the STS .12 engines? Thanks.

You'll definately like it. The reason for the leak was from us over tightening the collar on the carb. Changed it and all is well.
This is what I found at the 301 raceway when I fix a few JL's with the Low Speed Needle O-Rings, people tends to overtighten the set screw of the linkage ball which causes the LSN housing to deform, now when you try to turn the LSN, it will be very hard to turn and the oring gets ripped resulting to leakage. It is a self inflicted problem,
so keep this in mind, Do not overtighten the set screw on the linkage ball, not only it causes the o-ring to leak, it also makes the LSN to be very hard to turn, because it deforms the LSN housing.
