Arrow I need your help on KENCHOCO

Hi guys,

I need help in getting a hold of KENCHOCO. He sold me a car
kit but once he recieved the Money Order for $430 back in
March 4th, he became harder and close to impossible to get
a hold off.. I sent him numerous Emails, PMs and Voice Messages
but he has not gotten back to me with a definite answer about
the package.

He promised me in two occassion that the package will be
mailed out but later came back with reasons (on two occassions)
why it hasn't been mailed out yet.

He is from Houston, Texas and I am hoping that someone knows
him personally and would be able to get a hold of him. Despite of
the fact that I feel I'm getting the run around and that I am being
avoided, I am still giving him the benefit of the doubt. But I think
that I have been patient for a long time now, so I am asking for
your help.

At this time, I am holding off in giving out his name online and
other info about him because it is not my intention to spoil a
person's reputation. But I need an update and then I can wait.
Or I am even willing to assist in making it easier for him, just to
close this deal in the correct manner...

PLEASE HELP !

Default Ripoff?

At this point you have been waiting three weeks, I would not wait any longer. If you sent a M.O. or bank check and you receive no respmse it falls under mail fraud. Do NOT be afraid to post his name and address here, because if he has ripped you off others may have been also. Can you afford to lose $ 430.00? Most people can't. Either you protect yourself or keep being afraid to hurt someones reputation, your choice at this point. Also, if you do post his name and addy he may get back to you right off with either the kit or a refund, and then you can post that he made good.

Default KENCHOCO

Thank you for the response lazarus.
The amount of $430 is sure something I cannot afford to loose.
God knows how hard earned money that is for me.

Here is the latest:

March 9th, five days after he recieved the Money Order, he
emailed me saying that his real car has been in the shop for
two weeks and because of that he is not able to go to the
post office. Though that kind of sounded fishy already because
when he was offering me the car, nothing of that was mentioned.
As a matter of fact he emailed me that the package was all set
and ready to go as soon as the Money Order is recieved. Anyway,
he did also mention in that same email that he was going to get
his car back on Friday (the 12th) and then he would be
able to ship it out and email me a tracking number.... nothing
happened.

And then on the 16th, he emailed me again saying he got into a
car accident but his wife would be shipping the package out the
next day. By which day, he would again email me a tracking
number..... nothing happened again.

I am not sure if I am being impatient here but I feel that
something is not right. He used to email me 2 to 3 times a day
and would call me even more times than that. But when the
Money Order was mailed and recieved, he kinda disappeared on
me. And the couple of times I heard from him, all I get are
reasons with vague details.

I was advised to give him the benefit of the doubt once more.
Because of this, I sent him a PM, Email and also left him a Voice
Mail today offering to help. My offer to help was as follows:

In order for him not to worry about going
to the post office or have someone do it for him, I suggested to
have FEDEX or UPS pick up the package from him and I even said
that I would have the courier bill me for the shipping charges.

I have yet to hear from him and probably give him a couple of
days to respond. But I am really hoping someone out there who
knows this guy could help me in finding out what the real
situation is.

It would help if someone would say that he is a good honest
person or if they dealt with him before and that the deal was
good.

AGAIN, I NEED HELP HERE !

Hi True R/C Racing,

You're a good trader, no doubt about that.
And you communicated constantly so I knew what
was going on... But this guy, I dont know man..
There is just something that is not right.

Thanks for the info and the help.
If you dont mind, I will PM you his real name as I am
sure it may be easier for your friends to identify him.

Again, THANKS !

Thanks man, I hope so too.
The amount of money, $430.00, is a lot of money for some people
like me. But even more so than that, is the stress in dealing with
the whole thing, you know.

jwf-ronni,

Let us know if this has not been worked out for you. I live in Houston and know that the guys at the local track know of him and all have said he is FOS. I know this probally does not help you out. I can talk to the LHS to put some pressure on him. If I were you, I would print the emails and take them to the Post Office( I assume that is where you got the MO made).

People like this are killing the sport and giving a bad name. Let face it, you can now go online and buy postage with a paypal account, the mail comes to my house everyday and with payed postage I am sure that they would take it. Broke car???Wrecked car???Wife sending it???? Whats next.....dog ate your information???? This is a real joke...

Thanks Duane,

Here is where it stands right now.
We are not going to have a sale anymore because "the car was tweaked when his daughter was playing with it". So he just offered to make a refund in which I agreed to. But he, unfortunately, said the he doesn't have the money right now and wont have the money available until he gets his next check which (he said) he will be getting by this Monday. At which time, he said he will be able to give me a full refund. I agreed to wait to recieve the refund Money Order by Wednesday or Thursday next week.

If nothing happens, I will let you guys know. It would really be a big help for me if I am able to speak to him over the phone. But he would not answer my calls nor call me back because he said his home phone and cell phone has been disconnected. The funny thing is, if the phone(s) are disconnected, why and how am I still able to leave a V-mail.???

Anyway, this has been a real PAIN to deal with and is really stressing me out. I am affected by it both at work and at home.

I agree with you 100% when you said "People like this are killing the sport and giving a bad name". I think that its a total disgrace to all On-Line Trading and the entire hobby perce. Luckily we have people like (you and the other guys) who I dont even know personally, but are always willing to extend a helping hand.

I guess we still have to hope for the best. Again, if nothing happens I will PM you guys all the information I have about him as it is really DESPERATION TIMES that I am in right now.

MANY THANKS !!!

i do hope it works out for you ron. I actually have ron do all
my transactions for me when i see something i like online or
want to sell something online because he is well organized and
communicates well with other traders and lets them know
exactly when the payment or items are sent out. Kenchoco
if you have shiped the car out the same day you cashed the
check then there would be no problem. From the sound of it
you have other problems that might have delayed the shipment
of the car or refund but you should not pass your problems on
to a stranger or a trader and expect them to be so patient.
especially for the amount of money you took from Ron.

Ron,
I feel your pain bro. I got ripped off of at least $300 by trading with a minor on this site. I too got the run around of no answered/returned phone calls, e-mail was down etc....During that time it bothered me morning, noon, and night! I learned my lesson and will never buy on-line except from people I know. I will sell stuff as long as I receive payment first.

Roger PMd me on this and I have my boyz looking into this guy. I'll let you know when I find something out.

Good l getting your money back
P2

Funny how he was able to spend your money already
