Default New rex S3 vs. Mugen x-12

I thinking of purchasing one of these two engines but, I want the word on the streets which one is the best bang for the buck and perfoms best on the track.

Get the X12, if you can find one under $275. You'll Like it

The Rex and the S3 are the same except the Rex has the MC piston. I personally prefer the Rex. Very Fast

Thanks

I just bought a Top TS12S3 Turbo. Very nice indeed!! Same as the REX RER12S3, but not microcast. Nitrohouse.com is selling them for $219- or step up to the microcast for $299. With all the microcast piston horror stories, I decided to stick with the standard piston design.

I already have a Nova NS12S3, so basically I have two of the same engines with different colored heads- the Top is a turbo, the Nova is a standard plug.

Both these engines are a bear to break in- very tight when new. It took 5-6 tanks before I could start my NS3 without it locking up. I had to heat the engine first with a blowdryer.
