Default Oceanside R/C Speedway in Oceanside, CA

Update on Oceanside R/C Speedway...it is going to happen. It will be at the boys and girls club in oceanside behind the oceans 11 casino. Exit off the 5 freeway is Mission Ave. The Ozite was ordered from CRC, and will be here sometime next week. I was in that gym last week and it looks like there will be enough space for track and pitting all inside. Looking to race Fridays, so we dont conflict with any other onroad racing schedules of other tracks. I heard of setting something up the first weekend of november to trial run. Im pumped! And the boys and girls club is pumped on hosting it! They want to get the kids involved with the racing. Lets rally all together and communicate so we can get good turn outs!

Cool Carpet track

What is the latest on the track? Did you get it up and running for the weekend? Will you have any open practice days? How about a weekly schedule? A few of us have bought our cars and are ready and waiting...

Yes of course, but so far Ethan is right... most of his posts were related to the California scene so I am starting to believe him more than anything else on that thread.

I fully agree with Jason here. 3 or 4 years ago I spent a couple of hours in a meeting at City Hall with a representative interested by the concept of RC racing in Oceanside. Back then I got caught in the game of thinking that would happen...

On the first thread of this post we are beeing asked to "rally and communicate". Well it looks like we are trying to rally and communicate, we also have a similar thread going on the Racing forum. However, this is a ONE WAY communication only. Joel you have not posted on this thread since October 13th.

Furthermore, on the other thread it looks like the carpet never made it in Cali, CRC (the ozite carpet distributor) do not answer the phone any longer.
On December 20th however the guys from OC proposed an alternate solution. http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=135699

According to the level of COMMUNICATION we get from the people in charge, there is no reason to believe anything is going to happen. Let's move on.
