Thats a reasurring way of look at it.

In other news; how/how often do you guys take care of your bearings? DO you pull off the shields and relube them; or do you just soak 'em? And how often do you rebuild your diffs.

Im just wondering if i should rebuild my cars before this weekend. They both feel pretty good (MI2/EC). But i'm just looking for the edge.

Outdirve bearings I leave the shields in and just let them sit in a vibrating cleaner full of motor spray for about 10 minutes and re oil them once they're dry. The hub bearings, I pull one seal out and treat them the same way. You'd be amazed how much crud comes out of the bearings after only a few race days with the vibrating parts cleaner.

I just rebuild the diff when it feels like it needs it. It's been 4 race days not since but after the initial build, I had to rebuild it after the first race day. And yes, I rebuild the diffs that come assembled in the kit before they go in. I'm anal like that. I don't trust anything pre assembled. Not that Schumacher does a bad job of building them. I'm sure they'd be fine. I'm just like that.

I take every bearing out and clean them after every race day.and i rebuild my diffs when they feel nasty,I use a bearing cleaner ,so it only takes me about an hour to totally rebuild my car.

Just thought you guys might find this interesting. We've had a bit of a cold month here in San Diego. This is a really rare sight. I live about 1/2 way between the downtown skyline on the bay and those mountains.

Wonder where that picture was taken from? Looks like Point Loma.

I noticed the snow on the mountains there yesterday. I don't really remember ever seeing that before.

I'm not sure. A friend of mine just sent it to me. It was odd last weekend seeing people driving down 8 from Alpine with 6" of snow on top of their car or a truck with a bed full of it.

If you want to get ceramics, I think Boca is one of the only places I've seen with the flanged outdrive bearings in ceramic. Acre may have them but I don't remember seeing them on their site.
