Post Kyosho America - Parking Lot Track

Kyosho America located in Lake Forest, CA is proud to annouce the development of a monthy track program where we will be providing the facility to both run Kyosho 1:8 and 1:10 scale vehicles as well as the very popular Mini-Z line of r/c cars. The facilities will be run one Saturday per month to start and may expand in the future month's depending on interest.

So far the classes that have shown potential are:

1:8 Scale
Kyosho Inferno GT's (Nitro)

1:10 Scale
FW-05T / FW-05T Plus (Nitro)
TF-5 (Electric)
Super Moto 2WD
Super Moto 4WD
(this is a new class that Kyosho is developing using 2WD and 4WD buggies with on-road set-ups, various surface changes, and small jumps)

Mini-Z
2WD Sedans
4WD Sedans
F-1

Because Kyosho America's track days have been designed for it's loyal customers to enjoy running and racing in a low stress, fun, and family atmosphere the following rules must be followed:

1. Track open to Kyosho vehicles only. Due to the extreme speeds the following vehicles are not allowed at this time: 1:8 Scale Evolva, 1:10 Scale V-One Series, Inferno 777, Inferno ST-R, and Inferno ST-RR.

2. No Drugs.

3. No Alcohol.

4. No use of foul language at any time.

5. No fighting or aggresive behavior toward others.

6. No smoking. (outside of the designated areas)

7. No aggressive driving. I.E. "Hacking" or attempts to damage other drivers vehicles.

8. No open shoes on the track. (If you are running a vehicle you may be required to marshall and therefore must come with the proper foot attire)

9. No use of open flames. I.E. Tire conditioning

10. No driving outside of the track surface.

11. No air compressors in the pit area.

12. All drivers must use frequency clips unless a 2.4 Ghz type system is being used.

13. All nitro powered vehicles must have a functional fail safe mechanism.

14. Power will not be provided, however generators can be used but must be placed in the designated areas.

Violators of these rules will be asked to leave immediately, and may not be welcomed back.

A complete calendar of events and more detailed information will be available soon on our website.

This is great. Look forward to having a 'home' track again.

Ready to assist where I can.

We just finished taping out the layout to test, and ran an Inferno GT on it. Once we groom in the track and lay down some syrup it looks be just the right size. We'll keep the details coming, so please stay tuned :-)

Any chance they might be running the RRR and Evolva at the track in the future?
thanks

Default Kyosho America

That is great news, Inferno GT Mania!
Can we schedule a “Series” race there too?
Get those “Kyosho Parking Only” signs ready,

Turbo Joe - We are est. the end of next month, but an exact date will be posted later on the Kyosho America and Team Orion websites.

brc358 - Sorry but as stated in the rules the Evolva and V-One Series reach speeds too high for what we have planned.

Cool! Is this track going to be permanent like Tamiya's was? What is the address of Kyosho America so I can Google Map it. Maybe we can put a blurb about the track with photos on the R/C Car Action website, and in an issue in the Racers Edge section??
