I use a combo of both slicks and treads. I found that the treads hook up a bit better on rough asphalt roads but the slicks are the trick on smoother surfaces. GTs are my favorite and if you read the description on GT vs EXP you’ll know why. The treads also squeal when you lock em up. Kinda a funny thing but its cool on the track lol. Go fast! Sweep em all!

Ok I ordered the GT50 treaded with full faced foam inserts on black 6 spoke standard wheels. Should I have selected the new ROK wheels instead? How much better are they, will I notice a difference?

I haven't experienced the new ROK wheels yet. But I've never had a single issue with a Sweep wheel. The ROK wheels are supposed to be lighter, but you'll love those full face inserts.

For street use get threaded tires. Sweeps in hardest compound should be more than adequate for your purposes will last a long time.

As long as you got the new GTLS insert you are good to go. This new insert makes the tires wear significantly better. I have a few weekends on mine and they still look like scuffs. I haven't tried the ROK yet either, they are on my radar though!

finally got in touch with Sweep Racing USA and got them to change my order over to the new ROK wheels, GT50, and GTLS full faced inserts! Go Sweep!

Ok gents, need to pick your brains on battery selection.. So I have the futaba bls351/451 and they're rated at 6 volts. I called futaba customer support and they said LiFe was safe to run as long as the nominal voltage is 6.6 volts. So, my question is, what kind of capacity should I be looking for as far as MaH rating? Also, how big of a battery will fit this car? As always thanks for all your help and time, you guys ROK!
