T-Maxx - 1.5 upgrade or go w/ 3.3?
I got an old T-maxx with the 1.5 TMX Pro engine. The engine is about shot and it's time for an upgrade.
I have put a good amount of alluminum in the chasis as upgrades, and have an upgraded pipe. I also have a new full allumininum chasis spider kit sitting on my shelf (was to use on my kid's new E-Maxx but now not sure, and he don't care)
Now here is my delimena (and no I can't spell). I need a new engine. But by the time I throw in a new engine as well as some other well needed parts (like stering servo and stock sucks monkey butt), use that existing chasis I got and really touch it up. Or, I might as well part out and sell my existing t-Maxx and buy one of the new 3.3's
So what's you guy's think. My budjet here is about $250 bucks. New engine or part out and sell and go with a 3.3?
Also what's a good engine?

nice spelling and grammer...
if i were you, i would buy the 3.3 engine, and use the trade in deal so you only pay 130$ or so for it. 120$ left. buy a nice steering servo, and get the .15 to 3.3 conversion kit.
all of those things will make it a very neet t - maxx, thats able to do wheelies!
good luck

Sorry about the spelling/grammar in that last post. It was late at night and my language abilities were desensitized by my keg in the garage.
I know I just don’t want to throw in a new big engine as for sure it will twist off my existing drive chain/transmission.
I can’t seem to find anywhere information about a .15 to 3.3 conversion. I know there is a lot of 2.5 to 3.3 but now sure about my old 1.5 t-maxx.
Please tell me more about this engine upgrade program.

Well anyway - right now I'm really thinking on doing the Dynamite full conversation kit with the Mach .26 motor. Those kits go for about $280.
okay so why do a lot of guys like pull string starters? Personaly I like the press the button and crank

people like pull starters because:
1 - weighs less, goes faster
2 - you dont have to carry a 1 pound battery and stick to start it up.
3 - it clears space around the engine.
