I saw some guys drifting recently and it actually looked like fun. I must be getting soft.

I dont know why so much people dish on Drifting, its the one aspect of motorsports everybody needs.

If you cant keep your car under control sideways what's the point of Grip Racing, when the car has traction all is well, but when it loses traction a bit they are lost.

With the postition of the shaft bending sidewayzz slightly, I personally dun tink its effiecient racing stock let alone mod....

Personal opinion though....the engineers from HPI would have counter the prob anyway...

I thought that at first but the Drift cars motor is actually offset towards the centre whereas the D4 has a straight driveshaft.

Drifting must be really big in Japan (or somewhere) for HPI to have gone to all this trouble. I don't think it is at all popular in the UK. Either that or this car is a sneak preview of a new shaft-drive race platform.

Hopefully this becomes the Pro5 in the U.S. This chassis layout will work perfectly with a lipo and centralized weight of a BL motor.

It is certainly an interesting car. The pro-D is lipo and brushless ready to balance up the car. More interesting is the the drive train layout, probably to kill off the torque steer found in many shaft drive chassis.

Let' keep a close look-out from HB if any SD TC spec is in the pipeline

this car has been bilt by pro drifts in japan so its a nice car and dose what its ment for and as for people not likeing dift. its manly coz thay dont no how to u need alot more skill to drift than to drive arond and round a track as quick as poserble. drifting is about contole not who has the fastest car and knows how to use it.
