Hi all,

Where can kits and parts be found? Am half considering trying a b-max 2!

What hopups are needed?

What's the part number for the improved outdrives by the way?

if you're from the UK parts could easily found at a number of sites.

no hopups needed. if you don't want to be buying yokomo wheels all the time, get the front "associated" axles from yokomo. de racing and associated wheels fit in the rear, and others as well. some have fitted hex wheels onto the bmax2 with 12mm hex adapters.. other than that just buy a couple of packages of yokomo .5mm and 1mm spacers. so you could tune your suspension, and if you want to jack up the tranny.

if you buy a kit ask if the kit has the updated outdrives. they should tell you if you'll need them or not. also the e clips. earlier kits had some that broke.

chubbiescarshack supports the Yokomo cars in the UK. When it comes to ordering abroad, I recommend Asia Racing Team in France and Rc Race and Drift in Japan.

The Finnisher body will be available at DMS later this month according to a posting on oOple. I don't think it is hideous, just different. I'd prefer an Azarashi shell any day, though.

Unfortunately not. Azarashi informed me in June that it was being developed, so I think it should be finished soon...

As I wasn't too fond of the prospect of buying another expensive set of Kyosho spacers to mount PL or JC B4 hex adapters to the mid-motor B-Max2, I fiddled around with the parts I had in my box today. The thin wheel spacers from the B-Max4 are perfect for this job! Just put them on the axles, insert the pin and afterwards mount the hex adapters.

mes, did you find that your wheel nuts were barely holding on, when you have mounted the wheels? or did you put on thinner wheel nuts?

No, I've got plenty space with the standard wheel nuts with Team C rims on the B-Max2 and normal space with Proline rims with normal M4 locknuts on the B-Max4 (the latter without wheel spacers, only the hex adapters).

I asked AMAIN if they will be stocking the new Finnisher body, and they couldnt tell me if they would be or not as its a new release. I would assume, being a JC product they will. But is it available to buy from another supplier yet? Or can you go straight to JC?

Cheers

I hear you'll be able to get more than just the Finnisher body from Amain soon....

that's good to hear. because the tlr 22 wheels i have used with the jconcepts hex adapters, the nuts are dead even with the end of the axle. which isn't good. with a good hit the wheel nuts are flying off. and i was using similar spacers, like your bmax4's.

i was talking to RAL about that too. i called them a while ago and they said that they're still talking to yokomo about it. if the deal does go through, they said they'll post it on their site. i just hope that they don't go overboard on the prices of the parts.

So AMAIN will be selling Yoko's?

Lets hope the deal does go through. They will have to remain competitive with companies already distributing their products surely, otherwise it would be a pointless exercise. If not, I will continue to order from Race&Drift.

Cheers
