Does anybody have a pic of someone running the speedo on the chassis with the shortie pack?

Just finished wiring Frank Root's 22 for the Reedy Race. Kills me that he had to have the battery terminals at the front of the chassis, but other than that I think he has the cleanest 22 out there... until next week when mine is done

I tried it with my mid motor car and I could notice the difference. Car had more forward bite even with worn tires!

Iv put my car on the track twice now and both times broke a front hinge pin. Iv now put the ones in with the nuts either end of it and they snapped too. Does anyone know if you can get high tensile ones anywhere that won't snap so easy?

I can't tell you why the hinge pins are breaking without seeing what has happend while the car is being used, but I doubt any brand would stay together under the exact same conditions.

Hopefully someone can offer you a solution.

its happened twice now from landing, It just seems if it lands too front heavy or nose dives it snaps the hinge pin clean. Its not a big jump, would only be 1ft tall and about 5ft long so nothing big.
mates B4 had heaps more and bigger crashes and it's fine so I'm thinking it's just the hinge pins.
A mate of mine also has the same problem with his 22. Surely there is a solution!!
