Default Tamiya BB01 BBX Chassis 58719

Tamiya’s new BB01 BBX chassis was released today at the Nuremberg Toy Fair. It’s a modern take on the SRB. New wheel and tyre moulds that throw back to the old tyres as well. Great looking buggy

I really like the look of this. Yes I know it's technically basic but it looks like it's got the potential for some really rad custom builds. I'm dreaming of paddle tires and 80's inspired fluorescent colours for playing in the sand dunes at my local beach

It's higher spec than you think. Those are proper race-spec oil shocks and there will be options for modern ball and gear diffs as well as a slipper clutch.

Can see these being a popular retro "spec" class for racing.

Agree, id love to see some new paddle tracks as well.

Gear diff that it comes with was used in quite a few prior chassis and is solid.

Looks cool. I think big T is taking some ideas from the Kyosho legend series.

Tamiya has been the leader in this segment for decades. Kyosho jumped in to it in last ten years with the reintroduction of the Scorpion.

Its shiny but I would prefer a real Cage frame than that plastic one ...looks cheap.

It's Tamiya. Plastics is their trademark.

Well ...I rather doubt that those will be "rolled" very often ...besides that those plastic cages break like a twig
