Yes, last Sunday was a great race. Eight heats, and only novice a bit small this time. (We need to encourage some more novices to come out and have a try....we had a car ready and available for anyone to try, but no takers....)
Twelve - yes, 12 ! - WGT cars running ! "New-to-onroad" Tyler had a problem with his motor/esc and managed only two laps, but hopefully he'll be back. His "Viper" looked great. The best thing about this class is that there are several other cars that haven't even hit the track yet this year ! Any chance of a "diagonal" LeMans start for the A Main sometime ? It used to work well.....
Dale....some people seem to be a bit surprised at how well he's doing. Sorry, but either they have short memories or they simply haven't been in this sport very long. "BajaDale" has been around for quite a while. His main interest is in the real thing - real off road racing - but every now and then he drops by to show us how its all done. Believe me, it's no shame to be beaten by him ! I believe he was the first Regional TC Champion back when TC's were first appearing a few years back - or was that a National championship, Dale ? Anyway, it was great watching your duel with Rick all day. It could have gone either way in the main, and it looked like Dale managed to get through traffic just that little bit cleaner than Rick. Great racing.
PitBull, that was the Calandra car ? I'll have to come over and take a look next time.....I haven't seen it, but I'm told it's pretty good. Fast, that's for sure.
Thanks Ren, I love the RC racing but it's a "when I have spare time" thing. Greg J, Martin V and I always sit and laugh about the good old days! I started RC racing when Greg J started the RC club at Roller Time on the Northshore (the liquidation world building) in like 1986. Then stopped racing in 1997 when Martin V had Performance Hobbies in town. Somehow I always get sucked back into RC racing!! Must be the great times, great people and great racing! Now let's race!

Must say Sunday was a good race day all the way round. The impound table I thought was good and for how many heats and mains it seemed to fly by pretty smooth. I have not raced in a long while but way better now then when I stopped years ago. Seems everyone is out for fun and not that worried about winning. Cant wait for next weekend and adding a bit of VW class to the mini class.LOL
all i got to say...
quietly coming back to the front of the field feels good
all you "young'nz" be afraid of the BULLETMAN!

Please note that the club race date that was previously scheduled for December 5th has been cancelled due to an unforseen booking that previously arranged. We will hold a club race on December 12th and the 19th in place of this missed date.
Hope this all works out for you and my appologies for the short notice.
See you at the track....

"Retail sales are Bunk"......I might be tempted to use a rather more colourful metaphor , as Spock would say. I'm not sure there have BEEN any for the last few months !
However, for those looking for them, I do have a good resupply of TC bodies - R9, LTC, Mazda (both), Stratus and even the new C7. So it's time to tidy up those racecars !
We should also have another 10R5 next week, and the NEW TC6 ! Also a couple more RJ Speed Sports - great beginner cars, because they are cheap, they work well, and they're TOUGH.
Also check out the new "Ruckus".....a beginner's off road truck complete and ready to go for under $140.
