I do believe that's also Daves car - the Zerda. Such an iconic car here.

Mark Mason has started racing again - will see if I can get him to come out and enjoy the old cars as well.

There were quite a few racers from way back racing at the Nationals at St.Ives. I wonder if they still have any of their old race cars? I know most people generally sold their old cars to upgrade to the latest models of the time.

I managed to get some of Troy Niceare's CATS from back in the day - and also scored 3/4 of Tomseys Zerda......have a few cars from racers back in the day ........cant wait to restore and "ünleash" Darrin Campbells works Tamiya Evo.........thing is not much like the standard car at all.

There are plenty of old cars still out there.....and alot of the "old guys" are either coming out of retirement - or getting their kids involved. Once you have competed - its hard to get it out of your system completely.

DAVID - the car looks as good as new mate.......so so nice. Will be great to catch up again mate.

I remember seeing Darrin race a red and white bodied evo at Bormac, if its that one please get it on the track! I acquired Greg Brooks Schumacher Cat 2000 a while ago, have yet to run it.

Updated with cut down shell and MIP trailing arms plus 2.2 rims.. Should be faster this time.. but still really heavy!

That's the one mate - it was a freaking weapon. Sadly - darrins cars were stored in a shed which got flooded on more than one occasion - all of the cars I got from him were terribly rusted etc - however I have managed to salvage a few here and there. The Evo- being mostly plastic - is possible - will bring it with me - still has the "Malboro Maclaren" flouro red and white paint job - albeit in sad condition....I will fully restore it to its former glory one day.......
