Hi everyone,
As many of you would be aware, the Bendigo Classic has been the club's premiere stand alone event since we hosted the PG Challenge way back in 2006 (I think!?) and has grown from a local single day race into what has now become a major 2 day race in Victoria with racers representing most states in Australia and most RC-Related Manufacturers.
In 2012, The Bendigo Onroad RC Club with the support of RAB Hobbies will be hosting its annual Classic onroad event on the 23rd and 24th of June.
Classes will be:
540Pro
21.5
13.5
Open
Mini
Vintage Trans Am
- All classes will run to VORTEC rules.
- Trans Am will run if we have more than 8 entries. Rules to follow
- Cross entry allowed only to next class up (excluding Mini and VTA) eg. 21.5 & 13.5. 13.5 & Open etc
- Trans Am cross entry is allowed across the board.
In terms of the Event itself:
Friday - Open (Un-timed at this stage) practice from 8am
Saturday - Qualifying from 9am - 4 rounds
Sunday - 1 Rd of Qualy and Finals. 3 for A's, 1 for B/C's (and D's if required)
- Entry Forms will be available from Wednesday onwards next week.
- A Warm-up/Club Day will take place on May 27 - and will be your only chance to race on the track prior to the actual RAB Hobbies Bendigo Classic.
Again, thanks to RAB Hobbies (www.rabhobbies.com.au) for their outstanding support for this event.
More info will become available over the next week or so - but book your holidays, pack up the family and suggest a lovely weekend in Bendigo

They'll be published on the website in the next few days. Essentially they are identical to the US VTA rules - but we are a little more open to interpretation on the bodies used.
Motors are 21.5 with non-turbo'd (ie blinky mode) esc's
Entry form isn't far away (ie the next hour or so!)

Thanks again to RAB Hobbies for their support for the event.
Play hard, but be nice to your parents!

Will the control tire for the VTA class be the HPI #4793 front and #4797 rear combo? When will full rules be available as I don't waste cash on gear I cant race?
